Stopped by for lunch at Fishtales. The food was fresh and fabulous. Each of us thoroughly enjoyed our meal, and sampled the others.
It did take a while to get seated, but once we were seated service was quick and the food came quickly too. The atmosphere is simple and casual with tables and booth and a bar area.
The kids burger and fries were a hit. The fish bites were fresh and tender. Quite tasty. The stuffed haddock was a nice portion and delicious. It too was fresh and tender, not dry or over cooked. The baked potato and squash were cooked to perfection. The side salad was fresh and delicious as well, though a little small. Still themeal was satisfying.

Love this place! My wife and I went for dinner last night. We got the fried seafood platter and stuffed haddock. Both were absolutely delicious. Large portions, great service and decent prices. The live music was a nice bonus…. enjoyable and not too loud.

Started with an appetizer of steamed mussels my wife had the Caesar salad with the grilled salmon and I had the whole belly clams for dinner can’t beat the seafood here. It’s very fresh to get the steamers, but they were all sold out. They go fast they give you big portions and would come back again. Came back again and had the steamers which were excellent the salmon with risotto and appetizer of asparagus fries, and calamari and I also had the fish tacos, which were excellent highly recommend all the meals.

A bit out of the way but figured I would try since I was craving some seafood. I love the area and yes it’s not by the shore. I ordered a vodka tonic, baked stuffed shrimp with chowder. The chowder was good. My baked stuffed shrimp were hardly stuffed. Shrimp with stuffing thrown on them was more like it. It hardly compared to the baked stuffed shrimp my aunt used to make. Shrimp that was actually butterflied and stuffed with a mix much better than what I had. They served it with carrots and a baked potato which I choose… Carrots… They were probably the best part of the meal and the baked potato was… A baked potato. Honestly I expected something more.

It wasn’t a busy night yet we were treated like outsiders. We sat at the bar and the bartender did not really treat us well, she focused on the people she knew and begrudgingly waited on us. On top of that I ordered and paid for whole belly clams, not a belly in the bunch just strips and I checked and was charged for the whole bellies. Our drinks were dry for a good 30 minutes and there was maybe 6 other people at the bar and no one else I saw inside and a few tables on the patio, so it wasn’t busy. The bartender studiously ignored us. I used to like Fishtales but it was the second time in a row that I had a bad experience. What happened to this place?

Walk in and stand there for 15 mins while a waitress sits there eating no acknowledgment no hi no take a seat anywhere we will be with you. Covid is over hire real help! Was really looking forward to trying your restaurant now we will never be back.
