So excited to discover that our favorite Fishin’ Pier Grill South was open this President’s Day weekend. We grabbed 2 seats at the counter and proceeded to enjoy eggs, potatoes, bacon and sausage with a side of blueberry pancakes 😉 Always quick, always fresh, always delicious. Sitting at the counter is like watching a food network episode. Great people own and run this place. Delicious food. What a great way to start our day!!! Thanks to the whole crew…who all just happened to be there yesterday, including the babies 🙂

OMG, the Oscar Benedict was to die for! SO many choices…there were no fewer than a half dozen omelets that appealed to me. Cash only. Reasonable prices.

Cash-Only

The breakfast items are pretty well made, I found it pretty much comparable to any other breakfast place. I was surprised to find out it’s cash only, but they do have an ATM machine inside. The restaurant’s utensils and cups are pretty old. The ketchup bottle old an old jar, someone could easily dip their spoon in it.
I am all for businesses maintaining their heritage/originality, but modernizing some of common items like payments and utensils, would improve customer experience.

We have been coming to Fishing Pier South for a least 5 years, and by far, it is the best breakfast on the island. You cannot go wrong with the pancakes, French toast, omelets, and cinnamon buns. The omelets are fluffy, huge and flavorful. The staff are absolutely delightful and service is always excellent.

This still remains my favorite go to morning breakfast place in Stone Harbor. Had the most amazing chorizo sausage and jalapeno omelette the other day , and I still think about it in the morning when breakfast time rolls around.
We have also since tried the classic avocado toast as well as the arugula avocado toast which is really wonderful if you’re looking for a slightly healthier breakfast fare. As always the service is friendly and prompt, very efficient. We will certainly continue to go back! Thank you Trish and the entire team!

Let me start off by saying that the wait staff and kitchen were amazing. I could see them hustling trying to get orders out and make sure all the tables were happy. However, the food just wasn’t that good in my opinion. It is also cash only which is annoying. They also do have a decently sized menu with a lot of options. I would go back and eat there again. I really want to give it a second shot so I can boost up its rating. Stay tuned.

Always a great place for breakfast. Born of its sister spot in Avalon, the South has the same fare but closer for Stone Harbor folks. A good choice obviously as it is generally busy. “The Big One” is a mouthful, their biggest breakfast. Not for the faint of heart. Staff has always been extremely pleasant and the atmosphere is very beachy. We go every year and dont plan on stopping.

Not a great experience at all. First, cash-only is a suspicious business practice. Second, to expect your employees to handle cash during a viral pandemic is an irresponsible business practice. Third, the food is not good. This avocado toast had no flavor and no imagination. (They do normally serve this w/ balsamic glaze, but that would not have given it any noticeable improvement in flavor). The bread was not even of a decent or bakers’ quality. A tad overpriced in general, but very overpriced for the quality. So disappointing

Awesome. Omlettes were perfect. Awesome home fries. Avocado toast with an egg in top was a thing of beauty. Great service. They really hustle! Excellent job by all.
