Nice fishhouse on a wharf. Nothing fancy, nothing trashy. Great food, straight forward service and atmosphere. Great view.

The chowder and lobster rolls were perfect. We ate the clams before I could get a picture. Same with the sardines.

If you’ve never had FRESH sardines, get them here. Dang.

Food was good but location was great. We had fish and chips they were 25.00 they were good. Good wine and beer list that made it better. They let us sit there for a long time and did not rush us. Would go again.

My mom and I ate food there for lunch on Monday, September 29th during our New England Road Trip. (Also, I’m a person who is Deaf and hearing impaired.)

After visiting Quoddy Head State Park, we were very hungry and excited to eat and sit by the sea. My mom was looking forward to eat the fish & chips. Parked my car weirdly downhill next to this restaurant.

And unexpectedly, my vibes turned out bad after came out to our short, old lady and light grey short haired server named Valerie. When we got in and we didn’t see the sign that would be like “Please seat yourselves” nor “Please wait until the server gets here.” I saw Valerie’s face and she was very moody. Unhappy. Even not a smile with her glasses on her nose. I said politely, “Good morning, ma’am. We’re here for lunch. Next thing she said to my mother got my vibe upside down. “I don’t understand what’s he saying.” My mom didn’t say anything but she immediately got bad vibes with her. I said, “Hold one a second.” And I got my phone out, texted and showed to her. “Hello, I’m a person who is Deaf and hearing impaired. Good morning. We’re here for lunch.” And Valerie said, “go seat yourselves.” Even not saying please. We looked each other shocked afterwards when we sat down at our table with a beautiful scenery sea window view.

I always be polite to her and called her ma’am a few times when she got us drinks and we ordered our food. My vibes with her never change. Also, my mom’s vibes never change.

We got our food. I have a picture of the food I had below. BLT with French Fries and a side of coleslaw. BLT was very good. A side of coleslaw was really good. Fries were just alright. Mom got the Fish and Chips with a side of coleslaw. Her food was good.

When we were eating our food, I was looking around the restaurant that I saw a couple of groups were sitting to eat. It was damn and awfully quiet. Second group of two men arrived and Valerie got her face happy and wide smiling. I assume they are local in Lubec, Maine. Sadly, my mom caught our server Valerie kinda made fun of us as her hands around her head mocking us when have a conversation with two men and looking back at us. We just were having a conversation when eating.

Before we left, I said to her, “Hope you’ll have a good day.” She said, “You too” with a smile. I bet she would be happy with we as the strangers and/or travelers being gone. Service was worst. And we were looking around the gift shop next to the restaurant. The two young girls were sitting down. Even not saying anything like “How’re you doing?” Or “Do you need something?” I saw one of these two girls was death-scrolling her phone. I can’t believe what did I see after leaving the restaurant and the gift shop.

So I felt like she has no passion with this family restaurant. She was ignorant, unhappy, and awfully rude. She has a freaking terrible attitude. She dislikes the people outside of Lubec, the strangers and the travelers. We were just here to eat and enjoy ourselves.

If you are a traveler, road trip person and/or a person who loves food, I don’t recommend going there. Even we’re not coming back if we or I would come back to visit awesome and beautiful Lubec, Maine.

What a great place to eat. It’s a lot smaller inside than I thought it would be so had to wait about 20-25 minutes for a table but it was worth the wait. Turns out the two other restaurants in town were closed so everyone one was coming here to eat. They are accommodating to people with food allergies so be sure to talk to your waitress if needed. We ordered the Famous Lobster Dinner, the Steamer Pot and a chicken Caesar salad. Unfortunately they were out of baked potatoes so we got fries and onions rings. The food was really good and worth the wait. Waitress was very friendly and attentive even though there were only two waitresses with all tables full. There is some outdoor seating and a really good beer selection too. Thanks for a really good meal.

Stopped in for a lobster roll and beer. Overall, we really enjoyed our visit. We got some local beer, a delicious stuffed lobster roll, and onion rings. 100% recommend the onion ring upgrade over the fries.

Great stop for sure.

Only place that was open when I was in Lubec. Had the creamy lobster stew and a lobster roll. The stew had separated and the fat was floating on top of a very watery soup, there was nothing creamy about it. The lobster in the roll had very little flavor. Overall very disappointing considering the location right off the bay.

Came here after visiting the lighthouse at quoddy. Prices were reasonable. Food was awesome. Good portions. I had the bowl of lobster stew which was great and a side of fries. Everyone was happy with their meals.
Service was very pleasant. Views would have been amazing but for the fog. Gift shop was nice if small.
Parking lot is small and down a hill but more parking is available on the street.
Definitely recommend.

The Lobster Bisque was phenomenal, and they were generous with the lobster portion! I had a cool talk with a local while I was here. Great experience!

Over the course of 2 days we had a breakfast, a lunch and a dinner here as Lubec has limited options. We enjoyed each meal, breakfast being a lobster omelet for wife, and a smoked salmon bagel plate for me. The omelet was loaded with lobster and prepared well. Lunch was crab cake, fish tacos, and clam chowder, which we had on the outdoor deck with nice view. Again, all flavorful and delicious. Dinner, of course, was their lobster special, with corn on the cob and baked potato. Lobster cooked to perfection, tender, and tasty- no rubbery texture, you will not be disappointed. Our favorite server, Hope, was awesome. Great service and very friendly, offering advice on what to see and do in the area. Highly recommend this place.

Disappointed to say the least and $62.00 down the drain for a simple lunch after hiking, while on vacation. We have enjoyed meals there every summer on the patio with our dog. Overpriced and just really bad this year (we’re from Maine).. The seafood chowder looked like dirty dishwater, had no flavor, and I couldn’t tell you what was in it, tiny pieces of something. Grilled haddock burger—fish was overcooked, dried out, chewy and half the size of the bun. I couldn’t believe they served the onion rings to us: burnt, stuck together, inedible. Nobody cared. Service was non existent. The other patio people were just picking at their food too. We later learned they are under new management and looking for cooks and waitresses. We settled for ice cream bars from the store for the ride home. Shame on them.
