Lovely interior decor which is nice whilst you wait.

Very good Fish & Chips which being from Yorkshire – we know quality from shite! These are very good with the highlight being the best curry sauce we’ve had in absolutely YEARS.

No complaints, well worth a go. Cheers!

The first time iv eaten fish and chips in over 5years since being diagnosed with celiacs. Absolutely worth wait. they have a designated gluten free fryer, utensils and the staff are friendly and very clued up i felt normal for the first time ever. I have an added complication of gluten ataxia if iv been glutened it usualy shows within 20mins and theres been nothing so i can safely vouch that any cross contamination is near absolute zero.

the batter was perfect the fish was perfect the chips were perfect! beautiful crunch and just made me soooo happy. Absolutely welldone for being so inclusive youve no idea how greatful the celiac community appreciate food establishments like yours.

would reccomend above and beyond 5 will definitely be back

Quite good fish, juicy with a crispy batter. Unfortunately, the chips were a bit greasy and we had the feeling they were fried in older oil.

There are a few tables for seating outside or across the street; however, you tend to be bothered by birds.

We had the haddock & chips with mushy peas to takeaway. Fish was chunky with crispy, light batter. Generous serving of chips. Service fast & pleasant

The best fish and chips I’ve had so far! I ordered haddock and chips. The fish was so soft from inside and not soggy and oily at all. The same with the chips, very crispy and fluffy. The amount of serving was perfect for the price payed. I was very happy with my food. The staff was so sweet and ensured they took care of the dietary requirements.

51 years old and I’ve had my fair share of fish and chips, genuinely the Fisherman’s bay tops them all. I went for the surfers catch which was three generous pieces of cod and two king prawns with a portion of the most amazing chips. Lovely location too with the option of indoor or outdoor tables, the starlings also loved the chips and patiently waited for scraps, probably shouldn’t have but couldn’t resist feeding them.

Sure the code and chips was better than my local chippy but nothing to rave about. Quantity was not huge and price no different to a good pub fish and chips in the area (cheaper for takeaway thpugh)
Not one I would put on my must visit list

Delicious food, flaky fresh fish in a light crispy batter with twice cooked chips and a homemade tartare sauce. Staff are knowledgeable, friendly and the restaurant is very clean. Great atmosphere catering to a mix of ages within, from pensioner specials to smaller plates for younger ones. Wonderful array of drinks including several beers. Food can be eaten in or taken away. At least 6 Fisherman’s Bay benches are on the esplanade opposite.

Went on a Tuesday afternoon so this could be the reason for poor chips but they were quite tasteless, under cooked and hard/stale on the outside tasted more like oven chips which is highly unusual for a chip shop. It could have been a bad batch of potatoes but very disappointing.

Fish was decent, pea fritter very nice. Service decent but the inside sitting area was full of flies. I wouldn’t recommend this place as the food was below average and the prices certainly didn’t match the quality, what a shame

I’ve lived in England 20 years, and this is the best fish and chips I’ve ever had. Delicious — and the staff are wonderful. If you ever have the chance to eat here, don’t miss it!
