I was in Greektown Detroit with my wife looking for dinner, and we came across this restaurant. It’s the perfect one stop shop to satisfy your seafood crave. It’s very spacious, they have live music, and there is a bar area if you want to watch sports on the big screen tv. When the band is not playing there is good back ground music playing not too loud. The ambience was great. As for the 4 out of 5 star for service, the restaurant was not busy but, our waiter seemed distracted. He didn’t performed periodic checks in and we waited a long time at the end to get our check. The nice band that was playing sounded like a record playing. Motown true to its roots. Overall it was a very pleasant experience.

We had a great experience at fish bones, the food atmosphere and service were all amazing our server was very nice and funny! I dont remember his name i think it mightve been Danny or something close to that; either way he was very nice and mine and husbands honeymoon lunch amazing and the food was so so good ive never had genuine cajun food so i dont have anything to compare it to but for what it was it was super good the seafood wasnt overcooked and everything we got had amazing flavor we will definitely be going back

Fishbone’s has been around for a while so it’s one of my local favorites. Every time I go, I say I’m going to try something new. I don’t. I love their seafood Gumbo & the seafood pasta Orleans.

I had Dennis as my server. He was great! He was attentive and funny.

The atmosphere is nice. Perfect bar atmosphere particularly for sporting events. There is ample seating and 3 bars! Fridays & Saturdays, they have live music and that is super nice.

There is an automatic gratuity added to all bills regardless of the party size.

There is parking however it costs and the cost varies based on where you park.

Currently, there is construction but the restaurant is still open while the construction takes place.

Wishbone is a great spot in Detroit if you’re looking for good food at cheap prices. There’s plenty of seating inside so you never feel crowded, and they often have live music which gives the place a nice vibe. The menu has a mix of options – sushi that’s fresh and tasty, and the gumbo really stood out, full of flavor and definitely worth trying. A solid place to hang out, eat well, and enjoy some local music without breaking the bank.

App delivered late, and food immediately after. This is after we canceled the app, which they added to the bill anyway. Food was undercooked with little or no seasoning. Medium rare steak arrived rare, blackened redfish had no seasoning. Service was marginal. Asked for pint glass for bottled beer, never received. Never asked if we wanted more drinks. Then add the automatic 18% tip, this place is not worth the visit.

Update: I think the owners response 2 months later says everything you need to know about this place.

I’ve been a Google Local Guide for some time, and I rarely leave one-star reviews — but in this case, it’s well deserved.

I have a shellfish allergy and specifically ordered the Chicken and Andouille Jambalaya, which, according to the menu, does not contain shrimp. When my order finally arrived, I took a few bites and realized there was no chicken — only shrimp and sausage.

I immediately brought this to our server’s attention. We then spoke with the manager, Derrick, who explained that shrimp is always included with the chicken jambalaya. (Not true ). He then stated that most of their dishes are cross-contaminated with shellfish. He initially said he would remove the entree from the bill, and the restaurant did provide a corrected version of the dish with chicken / andouille sausage with a watery red sauce. I did not eat this dish as well. Menu picture and actual pic attached.

However, despite acknowledging the cross-contamination risk and the initial error, the manager refused to remove the dish from the bill and added an 18% gratuity for poor service . Derrick was laughing at the situation. He was unprofessional, immature, slick and unnecessarily rude during the entire interaction. He should not be a manager anywhere. I should have spoken with the owner of the restaurant not Derrick.

For those with food allergies or expecting professional service, I would not recommend this establishment.

Ate at this Cajun-fusion restaurant during a visit to Detroit and it was good. They have a variety of Cajun-inspired dishes but also serve steaks, seafood, and even sushi. I ordered the calamari as an appetizer and it was great. My daughter had the miso soup as an appetizer and said it was ok but she was not a fan of it. I ordered the crawfish etouffee as my entree and it was good but I feel there could have been more seasonsing and the portion size could have been more generous. My son ordered the sushi and he liked it and said he would get it again. The server was great, friendly and very attentive. Overall, it was a good stop for lunch and I would go back.

For a $26 Burger it was horrible! Absolutely no seasoning and just a mess really. Not what id expect for High end prices. Coconut shrimp was great though

Not much different than what you’d expect out of a typical American bar except this one serves New Orleans cuisine. When the warm bread hit the table I was excited. Then after I took a bite, I was less excited. BUT when tried my second bite dipped in that garlic butter, that changed everything!! It went from ok to great! The butter flavor was a pleasant surprise that I was not expecting. I didn’t foresee me cleaning out the bread basket before my food arrived, but that’s what happened. I ordered the seafood gumbo to start — this did disappoint. Had this dish been better, I would have given this place 5 stars. It was a giant bowl of rice with some shrimp on top. Please see photos — pictured is how the bowl was presented and what was left after I ate all the shrimp and a little rice. The winner winner for the evening was the crabbed stuffed shrimp which I had to take to-go because I was stuffed from the bread. Unfortunately I don’t have the best pic of the crabbed stuffed shrimp because I took a bite and couldn’t stop biting lol Thus, there are the remnants of what was…just know that it was DELICIOUS!! The accompanying roasted potatoes were great as well, and the vegetables weren’t bad at all. Overall, Fishbones is worth a try!
