All the food is made fresh when you order, so it takes a little time, definitely worth the small wait. The side orders are made in-house, daily, and you can tell. Everything has that yummy, homemade taste. I love the Mac and Cheese, I get it every time I order. My husband loves the Red Beans and Rice. The Cajun Catfish with shrimp is my go-to order. The husband gets the Shrimp Po Boy, or the 10 piece fried shrimp. The cheesecake for dessert is delicious, a definite must have.

The employees were very nice. The food was terrible. It’s been a while since I had to throw out food. $43 after tax for 2 combos. I cannot remember the last time I had food this bad. The shrimp was hard and undercooked. The mac n cheese was super salty. Remove all the salt and that might be ok. Had the catfish and sole. Terrible. I doubt this place stays in business.

Loving their fish. Delicious. Verry happy that they have one in menifee now and don’t have to travel to Ontario to get some. Looking forward to try different menu but for sure will likely to come back here!

We moved here from Houston so I was pretty excited to try this place, especially the fried oysters! I thought I was going to have a go to spot for my back home cravings that was close to me. Plus my company is always looking for soul food catering so I wanted to be the official taste tester. We ordered on a third party app that charged us an overall 2 dollars extra, I don’t recomend it. We got the fried seafood trio, shrimp, oysters, and catfish. It came with hush puppies and a roll with two sides. It was a dollar extra for catfish, I’m ok with that. We added mac n cheese, collard greens, red beans and rice, sweet potato pie, and 7up cake. This is enough food for 3 people. We had a 6:33 pm pick up. First thing I tried were the oysters, they were big, like gulf oysters. I prefer smaller oysters because I like to eat mine in one bite, I know most would appreciate a huge oyster. The flavor was great, I covered mine in lemon and hot sauce and I was pleased. I prefer cornmeal only breaded oysters but these were still good and crispy. I give them a 5/5. The shrimp I would give 10 out of 5. They were good alone and good with tarter. I don’t think you could go wrong with these. The catfish had good flavor but I am wondering if because we had an order closer to close the grease was old, the fish was dark in color and the breading had that paste texture underneath. I might need to come in and sit down to try it fresh. I’d give it a 4/5. Hush puppies. I don’t like hushpuppies in general but my husband liked them 5/5. The cornbread was good, there are so many variations of cornbread and their version was tasty. 5/5. Mac and cheese seemed a little old, flavor was good though, I bet it would be delicious fresh out the oven, 4/5. Red beans and rice, nobody’s red beans and rice is better than mine so they get a 4/5 lol but it was good, great flavor and spicy. Now here is where we go down hill, the greens were so salty I could only stomach one bite. My family eats cornbread mashed in thier greens so eating it that way took away from the saltiness but I wouldn’t order again. 0/5. The French fries were soggy and salt less, it tasted like bay seasoning was used and it was not good. 0/5. Now I’m not gonna lie I judged the desserts just by looking at them, that pie over is over cooked and that cake is dry, BUT that pie was delicious and not over cooked and the cake was soooo good and moist. 5/5 for both. Overall I would go back and dine in to give it a fresh out the grease try and hope they had someone else manning the green pot. Thanks for coming to menifee and adding a little flavor. Hope the kinks get worked out and they stick around.

I have been patiently waiting for this place to open, and I was not disappointed! I ordered the fish and shrimp combo with grilled salmon, a side of candied yams, and red beans with rice. The salmon was served on a bed of grilled peppers and onions, and it was cooked to absolute perfection. The sides were to die for and the shrimp was absolutely delicious. The cashier was a very kind and knowledgeable young lady, and the girl who gave me my food took the time to go through the order with me to make sure everything was correct, which was very much appreciated. Everyone was very courteous to me, and all in all, it was a wonderful dining experience. 10/10 would go again and bring along my friends!

*Soft Open review* They opened I think last week. As previous ppl have stated the food is well-seasoned and delicious! Everything is cooked to order. Deep frying takes a minute so be patient. I had red snapper, oysters, and shrimp. Individually all of it is fantastic. No wet center, so no soggy seafood, and no heavy oil flavor it was just fried to perfection. The fish was flakey, the shrimps had the perfect snap and the oysters were soft and flavorful. You get two sides I picked mac & cheese and collared greens. The mac had a perfect cheese pull. No rubber textured or plastic-like texture. It’s one of the best Macs I’ve had in a while. The greens go perfectly with the cornbread. I ordered cornbread, red beans and rice on the side. Warning if you think pepper is spicy or sensitive to spicy food the red beans and rice aren’t for you. I loved it and didn’t find it spicy at all but my mother-in-law found it very spicy. I think that comes from the sausage (andouille).

My first time being here today it was recommended to me so I drove all the way from Hemet. My cost for one person was $26.47 with no drink or dessert. I ordered red snapper and shrimp with two sides. I was charge an extra four dollars to up size my shrimp to jumbo shrimp which didn’t look like it at all. Very small skippy pieces of fish and shrimp size. So don’t upgrade I don’t believe they change it. It’s a scam! The collar greens was extremely spicy and the fish was too salty. The cornbread was burnt around the edges the candy yams were smashed like mashed potatoes. I wish I hadn’t use that money to purchase groceries instead. I did not enjoy this meal at all.

Small serving, Mac n cheese has no flavor. Collard greens tastes like they have been sitting for hours. $14.99 for red snapper and I got a small amount. The presentation was aweful as you can see in the picture. Hopefully they get better but I will not be returning any time soon. There is barely any room to sit as well.

What seemed a long wait and large bill was rewarded with hot and delicious food in HUGE quantities. Seriously, my meal (3 item combo) is enough food for 2-3 adult humans. Recommend.
