What a great restaurant! We all enjoyed our meals! Party of 6. Staff was super friendly and helpful. We had a variety of items: cream of crab soup, fish n chips, crab guacamole, bacon wrapped scallops and prime rib. Everything was fresh and hot…and delicious! Dessert was amazing, too…perfect creme brulee!

Awesome atmosphere, food, & staff! The Fish Whistle at The Granary is a beautiful restaurant overlooking the Sassafras River. Their dining room is massive with many long tables for large parties. There’s also a bar with bar seating. The atmosphere is very romantic with low lighting and dark earthy wood tones. Perfect for dates, anniversaries, birthdays, and close adult-family dinners. Not really a place for kids, but 12 & up are ok. It’s more upscale but still casual at the same time. Great for a night out!

I often take my grandchildren here when they visit the marina. Food and service have always been five star. The great thing is this is a constant. I have been going here on a fairly regular basis for several years now and never had a complaint.

We’ve had better meals. I gave it five stars last time, but things were definitely off a bit on Saturday. The crab soup tasted too strong of sherry, the dressing served with the crab and salad platter was not the same as I was served just a few weeks ago. The waiter totally forgot our request for bread, and a starter didn’t come either. A child’s portion of Mac and cheese was greasy, obviously microwaved for too long.

Fish Whistle is our go to for family dinners!! Have celebrated many birthdays & Mother’s Day here. The food is amazing, never disappoints, and falls right behind mama’s cooking as my favorite comfort food!! The owner/chef always has amazing specials and the menu has a great selection to satisfy all!! Service is always satisfactory. Always speciality cocktails to match the season And to top it all off you will catch some of the most BEAUTIFUL sunsets from the outside deck!

Decided to try a new restaurant. We were not disappointed. We sat at the bar and struck up conversation with many nice people. The bartender was engaging and made a really good key lime martini. We couldn’t decide what to eat so we had a few appetizers and soups. So good we had to take dessert home with us.

A beautiful location! That’s about it for this restaurant. Cream of crab soup, mostly cream and little crab. Crab cakes advertised as having ‘no fillers’ also had a mix of something that did not taste like crab meat. There was a very musty odor around our table, like a boat that had been closed up for a long time. It was a very disappointing dining experience and we will not be returning.

Stopped by for a late lunch after the winery. Excellent lemon crushes. Lisa’s crab dip was great, and they had the best hush puppies I’ve ever tried. Loved the smoked salmon sandwich (ask for the horseradish sauce to put on top). Our bartender – Hunter, and barback – Selena, were so much fun. Worth every penny!
