I try to never give negative reviews. I really try. But if I am going to be honest, it’s a “NO” from me on this one. I was really surprised at how much I did not enjoy this place. They WERE extremely busy when we went so maybe that was the issue. But the service was not great. The hostess was probably the worst I have ever seen. I had to speak to multiple people to finally get seated. Once seated I hoped it would get better. But the food was disappointing. The shrimp kisses were very good….I will say that. Everything else was a thumbs down. The fried shrimp were overcooked and rubbery with no flavor. Worst I have had in a long time. We also did not enjoy the taste of the crab balls. The views of the water are great, but overall it was just not a good experience. We will not be back.

Been here both times I’ve come to Galveston (I’m new to Texas). Such a good experience both times. My first time, it was super busy and everyone was frazzled, but the food was great and the speed was great for how busy it was. The second time, we stopped by for lunch. Such a wonderful experience and a wonderful view. Great shrimp, great sweet tea, great view. Just a lovely time all together.

First time visiting Fish Tales in Galveston, TX. I give the food is great . Love the pasta but the shrimp kind of dry. We love our server Martha. She is great serving our table. Love seatting outside upstair across from the Pleasure Pierre. Great view. Come after 7pm so you can enjoy the nice breeze. Here is what we order and the total is $133 without tip.

The food and view here were great!!! The day was nice and breezy, and the food was cooked right well done and flavorful. Our waitress was friendly but the only issue was that she was very forgetful. She forgot about our drinks, silverware, sauces, alcohol drink and items we didn’t want in our food was still placed in our food, and was just forgetful most to where she would also say she forgot. The restaurant wasn’t to pack and she was attending to 4 or 5 tables, but we didn’t let it ruin our day we still had a great view and great food.

Location. Location. Location! Great ocean views with inside and patio seating. Across the street from Pleasure Pier. Had to pay $10 for parking as the street parking was full. Food was good but didn’t think anything was over-the-top. We ordered appetizers and drinks and got appetizers before drinks. Took our food 45 minutes to arrive. OK if you aren’t on a time crunch.

We, family of 5, came in on a Thursday around 5. We asked to sit upstairs on the patio and were seated immediately. Our server came out and took our drink and appetizers order. We told him we weren’t ready to order our main entrees yet, he came back twice to check on us before we were finally ready to order. He did not rush us and allowed us to enjoy our appetizers and take our time. We ordered the spinach artichoke dip and he even brought out extra chips since we were a larger party with kids. He promptly refilled our children’s icee’s when they needed a refill. I was drinking water with lemon when he brought out my refill it didn’t not have a lemon, no big deal but he noticed and brought me a plate of lemons to add to my water. The kitchen messed up part of my husbands order, they forgot part of his trio platter but the brought it out not too long after we got our meals. Food was good and waiter was nice. I will say my steak was a little more rare than medium rare but was still delicious and my daughter ordered fish sticks but she got what looked like friend tilapia, which she ate and said was good but she was really wanted the fish sticks. They also give a very generous amount of French fries with the kids meals.

2 words… stay away!!! Came in with my family and was told there was a 2 hour wait. We went to Pleasure Pier and received a text at 10pm stating our table was ready. When we walked in, the staff said they were closed. We were seated and a server by the name Dorian. he was rude and rushing us to put in an order. While we were ordering he walked away without even taking the full order. We complained to the manager who then got us another server by the name of Wendy. She was real nice and tried to do everything to help. Unfortunately, the food came out cold and not cooked. I order a well done steak and it came out medium rare. The vegetables were supposed to be sautéed and came out hard as a rock. The manager did take the steak off the ticket but I wouldn’t come back to this restuarant again. Service is horrible and food is subpar even for a Landry’s restuarant. STAY AWAY!

Delicious seafood. Calamari was hot and fresh some of the best I have had. Cadillac margarita is a must get. You can’t leave without the chocolate mousse cake. Everything from food to service was on point this will be our new Galveston spot for sure.
