Great spot for sushi in Lafayette. Quiet, clean, and very relaxed atmosphere. Excellent sushi selection, super fresh, and well prepared. The staff is extremely friendly and welcoming, which makes the experience even better. Perfect place to grab quality sushi without the noise or chaos. Highly recommend.

Clean restaurant, greeted by amazing smells of freshly prepared sushi. I love a quality roll, and this place satisfied! From start to finish our transaction took less than 7 minutes total. After sampling near all the rolls and fried goods I can say, based on the pricing a couple could eat VERY WELL here for lunch in a rush and be out the door for $30 total. Honestly, a fast food drive through takes longer. Why bother with one? Stop here instead!!

My wife and I had a little problem… We had just ordered two full boxes of sushi from FishBox, and as soon as we got home, tragedy struck when she accidentally dropped my entire box onto the floor.
Because the sushi at FishBox is so good and I was still craving it, I decided to take a trip back and order another box of the same sushi. The owner happened to be there and jokingly said I must not have gotten enough the first time. I laughed and explained what had happened and how my little tragedy brought me back.
Right after hearing that, he insisted I take the sushi for free. And here I am writing this review to help him in whatever small way I can, because that level of kindness is rare.
FishBox just opened in our area, and my wife and I have already been six times. The quality of the sushi is as good as it gets, and the price is almost unbelievable for what you’re getting. You can pick whatever sushi you want, and they’re constantly bringing out fresh rolls, never anything old or sitting around.
It’s fast, easy, affordable, and absolutely delicious. Plus, the owner and staff all have a genuinely kind energy. I couldn’t say enough good things about this place. Highly recommend checking it out. I am very confident they’ll be around for a long long time.

Wow what a great place for a different type of sushi experience! It is serve yourself sushi! Grab a small tray for 1 for lunch, or grab a large tray if 2 or more are eating. Use the clean metal tongs to serve yourself the different rolls of sushi on the buffet! Instead of ordering a whole roll, you get the option to have a piece of everything! For reference, I am 5’9 215lbs and I like to eat. I came for lunch and got a small tray, filled with 7 or 8 pieces of sushi and a bottle water for less than $14. It is a good price and the quality and taste were great! I felt full!

The location is very easy to enter. The sushi was absolutely delicious. Plenty to choose from with great flavors. The employees were very nice and helpful. The line moves very quickly. Everything was fresh. Very sanitary since everyone gets their own clean tongs to use. I got a large box and only paid about $17. I highly recommended trying this place!

So good. I was a little worried about the “open air” sushi experience, but everything tasted really fresh and yummy! I really enjoyed being able to try SO many different types of sushi for what I’d typically pay for only 1-2 varieties. Our entire family enjoyed it, including the 2 year old! The seating is ample and they also had some high chairs which I was thankful for!

I feel really conflicted about this because the sushi is GOOD. But I did find a hair and a fish bone in my sushi. Pretty good price point, I loaded up two of the larger trays for around $50. This is all artisanal sushi, you won’t get a regular California roll or something like that. Chopsticks are also paper thin, kind of weird.

I didn’t know what to expect walking in, but it is pretty straightforward. Grab you a tray , grab you a pair of brand new tongs that is not touched by anybody else, pick what you like it has great specialty selections, weigh it at the end, pay and eat. I kind of pack my tray, 1 tray, I was full. Like at Rouses or NuNus, you get what they make, and it’s cold and not fresh and you fight the thought of what to choose because it’s premade and packed. Over here literally for the same price, you get fresh, warm rice, specialty rolls. Sorry in my photo , I over packed … Hey atleast if you can eat, you can make a pyramid, so be it.

I absolutely love this concept! I have been a few times and each time the sushi is fresh, staff is kind, and the line moves very quickly. Very impressed! You get your on tongs which I love! Less germs!
