After several visits to First Watch in Kettering, I felt it was time to write a review. This place always exceeds my expectations. Friendly smiles and fast service as we get there. Always quick with the coffee and tea. Food is spectacular and you can’t go wrong with any order. We have been large groups and we always feel our food comes out fast. Absolutely recommend this place for a breakfast or brunch!

The food was great. I got the roast beef and havarti with horseradish and breakfast potatoes. My companion got The Works omelette with breakfast potatoes and toast. We came in 30 minutes before closing, but were still accommodated in a timely manner. The ambient music in the restaurant was a bit loud and annoying, bring the only real drawback. The food was delicious and delightful!

Elizabeth was very courteous and patient as we debated what we wanted and even as we forgot to place our to go order. She reminded us and helped us before we left.

The farm market hash and cinnamon toast cereal milk was the best coffee I’ve had in a while.

We regularly visit this First Watch and always enjoy our food! This time, my wife ordered her go-to chocolate chip pancakes while I ordered the seasonal Hash. Our food was amazing, as usual. First Watch always provides a high-quality experience from the food to the service. The perfect Brunch spot!

We ordered delivery and usually this place is great but this time the food was not good. Very poorly prepared. The waffle was soggy and tasted like dough. We ordered the carne asada breakfast tacos and there were 3 tortillas and just stuff piled on top, part of the tortilla wasn’t even inside the container and the chorizo omelet was an egg on top of the chorizo etc. Not an omelet at all.

food was delicious! A little expensive but worth it. The Wild Berry French toast was VERY Berry. didn’t even need syrup for it. The Banana nut & oatmeal pancakes were so filling the extremely hungry teenage boy couldn’t even finish! The egg & avocado omelet was perfect! And the kids half waffle meal was the perfect portion! Also got a Morning Meditation which was a great addition and tasted exactly as expected.

Service was good. It wasn’t too busy when we went and we got sat right away and the server was very friendly. The food was good. My husband got the fritata rustic that comes with bread but the bread had a hair on it, the server took it back and gave a fresh one and all was good. I got the pick 2 lunch meal. Salad was good, sandwich was good but felt like it needed something else, it felt a little flat. Tomato basil soup was very basily.. Not for me but not too bad either.

Everyone at this location is really friendly and always efficient. The good is great and the staff go out of their way to make sure you’re taken care of. We are regulars and look forward to our Sunday brunch here!

I finally visited a First Watch to see if I was destined to join the First Watch cult.

The staff was very nice and friendly, which I appreciated.

That said, the overall experience was disappointing.

The waiting area is very small for how busy this location gets, so it felt crowded and uncomfortable while waiting.

Cleanliness was the biggest issue. Our table was dirty with obvious milk spills on it, and under the table the floor was dirty with debris and with silverware on the ground. The highchair also had obvious butter on it. I actually saw someone “clean” the table while we waited, so this did not seem like an accidental miss. It looked like poor cleaning standards. The light fixture above the table was also filthy, with what looks like months of dust building up hanging from it. The bathrooms were unkempt as well.

There were also several problems with the food/service execution. Two sides were missing when our order arrived, and part of one entrée was missing too. On top of that, there was a very large onion skin in the omelet.

Finally, the waitress was very polite, but she never proactively offered a refill on a $4 (12 oz) soft drink that was obviously empty.

Again, the staff here seemed like nice folks, but this visit had too many issues with cleanliness and order accuracy to ignore. It was the sort of dining experience where you’re looking forward to leaving by the time the food arrives.

There was a wait, and I understand why. The food was excellent, and there was plenty on the menu to please the whole family. Im a “meat and potatoes” person, and the menu is a bit fancier than my traditional fare, but has plenty of options to suit everyone. Friendly service added to the experience.
