First time here for me. It was a busy Sunday morning which seems to be typical. We got there just ahead of the rush and were seated quickly. Caitlyn was our server and she was so polite, and fun. My wife chose the French Toast. It came with a compote that was delivered to the table warm! That was unexpected, as was the warm syrup! At this point we’re noticing the attention to detail that this establishment brings. I ordered Power Breakfast Quinoa Bowl. This was delicious and even the basted eggs were cooked perfectly. The noise level is just right. Lots of conversation s happening around mixed with a little kitchen activity.
Overall this was a great casual dining experience and we’ll be back.
The only thing I didn’t care for was the exit. Once the rush begins, the entrance is crammed with patrons entering and unless I missed something, this is also the only way out. All that said, overall this was a good experience.

Totally delicious! Honestly I was blown away!! the freshness and great taste of the plates, mind blowing. I had the morning meditation juice and it was so good, and the chimichurri steak and eggs hash soooo sooo delicious.

First Watch in Athens brings a fresh and inviting vibe to breakfast and brunch. The space is open and modern, with natural light and a friendly team that makes you feel welcome from the start.

We tried the Pumpkin Pancake Breakfast—light, fluffy, and full of fall flavor—and the Avocado Hash with perfectly cooked eggs and crispy potatoes. Both were excellent. The Pumpkin Spice Donuts were the star seasonal treat—warm, sugar-dusted, and served with caramel and crème anglaise dipping sauces that were hard to stop tasting.

The fall menu also features creative drinks like the Cinnamon Toast Cereal Milk and Blackberry Bramble Sangria, keeping things fun for brunch or a casual lunch.

The Athens-themed mural adds a local personality, and the atmosphere feels like a neighborhood favorite rather than a chain. It’s bright, clean, and ideal for a relaxing weekend meal.

A great stop whether you’re a local or passing through town—fresh food, good energy, and thoughtful seasonal touches make this First Watch stand out.

First off, I would like to sincerely thank the restaurant for being A1 in having the decor and design of the restaurant UNMATCHABLE!

Servers were attentive and greeted us at the door. Everything was great until the food…

For what it’s worth, I think there are better options when it comes to serving size and pricing. First off,Bacon taste bland (It’s the prepackaged bacon).Same thing goes with the cubed potatoes. We expected for our food to come out pretty fresh and exceptionally hot, since we waited around 20mins for it to get to our table. Except it did not, even with the restaurant being slow – instead we got luke warm food (almost cold). How ever, with the food being almost disappointing. The drinks were actually really good!

I would suggest for the owners to actually sit down and eat this food and adjust the seasoning at-least.

Wonderful, the dishes that I ordered were very tasty. Service was quick, very friendly, and attentive. Love the atmosphere and how the restaurant was set up. You must try the Million Dollar Potatoes, it is very tasty. As for the grits I suggest pass on them, not impressed actually only could take two bites out of it.

Fun place to celebrate birthday with family. Food is delicious and service is attentive. Wait times can get long, so plan to wait to be seated. Parking next to the restaurant can be difficult, but there is plenty of parking nearby. Highly recommended for Breakfast and Brunch.

The potatoes were too salty and not consistently cooked so some were hard and undercooked and some were cooked too soft. My salad and sanwhich were perfect. The blueberry cornbread was hard at the edges and dry. Our server was okay. The carrot cake pancake had too many nuts in it and my friend really couldn’t enjoy it. Loved the atmosphere, was very chill and welcoming.

Get here early there will be a wait because this place fills up fast and for good reason! The staff is great and the food is excellent! The menu has a lot of variety and something for everybody. I would give 5 stars down the board, but when it’s busy, you can tell. The staff are rushing around and it gets kind of loud inside. When you do get the servers attention at the table they are very friendly and happy to make your experience a good one. I’ve been here a lot and I will continue to return. It’s my favorite place for breakfast/brunch in Athens!

This is yet another restaurant great First Watch in the eastcoast with a twist. Why ? Because this Georgia Bull dog country here in Athens, GA. The great University of Georgia is here with its massive 93 thousand seat stadium to cheer on there favorite football team. My wife is a huge bull dog fan and brought me here for the first time.
I liked this First Watch because of the bull dog decor on the walls and they have more comfy padding seats at some tables.
The staff were funominal and our food came out quick which i was starving..
I got my staple the quinoa breakfast bowl with an egg over ease with potatoes.
I would recommend the million dollar potatoes if you don’t have a gluten allergy.
The manager of this restaurant is pictured in the bar area. Great guy.

Would I recommend this restaurant?

Love this franchise. First time in the Athens location. Did not disappoint. Chicken hash brown bowl with 2 fried eggs and avocado. Turmeric orange juice with an antioxidant shot. Looks like a tequila sunrise mocktail!
