I ordered my meal and it came within a decent amount of time, however, my food was cold. My seasoned potatoes and my turkey links weren’t even luke warm. I was afraid to eat the eggs. I mentioned to the server if they could heat it up for me. They ended up cooking a fresh plate which was much hotter. That just tells me the first plate sat back there a while before it was brought out to my table. The hot chocolate and the grits were hot and delicious. Not sure if I’ll be back anytime soon. I may try it again. Hopefully, a better experience with the temp of the food going forward.
Also, you should never have to ask your server for a refill each and every time. They weren’t even that busy.
The area is quite affluent, featuring high-end shops, brick homes, modern brownstones, and upscale cars in the parking lot. I believe this location was formerly a J. Christopher restaurant. The exterior boasts a wrap-around patio that could comfortably seat 50 people on a nice Georgia spring day – very impressive.
Inside, the restaurant has modern updates, including open, exposed beams, vibrant artwork, and clean tile flooring. The space felt very clean, with just a few morning crumbs near the front end. I appreciated how the nice decor extended all the way to the restrooms. I also spoke with the manager, Darnell, who was extremely kind, despite my unplanned review. I observed how he and his staff expertly navigated the busy restaurant, providing premium customer service. He even checked on each table for feedback on the food and service – very thoughtful.
The staff members walked with purpose, dressed in professional First Watch black uniforms. Even though I had takeout, my waitress frequently checked on me and ensured my order was ready – very impressive.
Our food was excellent. We ordered three trifectas with eggs, bacon, turkey sausages, pancakes, and waffles. The food quality was consistent with other First Watch locations in the metro area.
I highly recommend this upscale First Watch, especially for a nice day on the patio. It truly feels like a European getaway.
The steak and eggs is on the seasonal menu and is heavy with the potatoes, but it’s so good! Would def get again!
Also ate on the patio to cut down on wait time. The heaters are nice with the sun out!
Everything I’ve tried has been consistently delicious, and it’s easily one of my favorite spots for breakfast and brunch. Highly recommend!
I give this place 5 Stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
This is a great place for brunch.
Good for a first date, date for your loved ones, ladies’ day out and small groups, and medium-sized group.
Consistently great & warrant repeat visits- Millionaire bacon…the name says it all! French toast, both original & especially the Floridian. And all of their juices are fresh squeezed & made with care, notables are Kale Tonic & Morning Meditation. I get the (free) wellness shot on the side because I don’t want it to alter the taste of my juice with its overt sweetness.
Hit or miss- Eggs & omelettes. The grits are sometimes fresh, sometimes reminiscent of Quaker Oats brand. And pancakes shouldn’t crumble regardless of what you add into them.
I will revise upon my return…
