Delicious food, friendly staff, and live music. Went on a Thursday so I got their ribs, perfect bite and cook, amazing flavor, and delicious sauce. Fries cooked well and tasty potato salad. Multiple sauce styles all self served to find what you like. I got in early but the line backed up fast.

New dude at the counter did a good job even though you could tell he was a little nervous. Customer service 10/10! The food was just as good.
The pulled chicken was juicy, a little too juicy because the bottom bun couldn’t handle it and was falling apart.
Mac was amazing even with the burnt crust. Baked beans were nice and smoky 10/10

Only thing needing improvement was the bun.

First Sergeant’s has the best fried fish! I always come by for Fish Fry Friday. I ordered a catfish platter with white bread of course. Large portions, so it’s worth every penny. The decor is totally appropriate. Love the military service theme decorations. It is also a big hit within the community. Five stars ✨

First Sergeant’s Smoked BBQ is not only incredibly rich with flavor but also rich with military history. The owner and staff are VERY accommodating and fully support local units and patrons of Aberdeen Proving Grounds.
Highly recommend for any events, it’s a great venue. Also, I would strongly encourage anyone (those new to the area and any leaders) to visit and learn about the military memorabilia.
PS-food was so good I devoured before sharing pics of the 82nd dog, cornbread, and fried okra ‍♀️

This type of dining facility should be at every installation! Catfish and hushpuppies! There is a ton of games, seating, and Military decor. The menu is pretty big for such a small place which is nice. The amount of imagination used to make the food is awesome! There are a ton of hotdogs and burgers to choose from.

The best damn food I’ve had in a longgg time! Mom & pop shops like this are what we need more of in America. Kind staff. Prices were very good! The beans were to die for!! Customer for life every time I work on post. Don’t change a thing!

If you are on base and want something good head on over. All the sides I’ve had were good. Pulled pork and pulled chicken sandwich is great. Co worker had the general burger said that was top notch. Hush puppies are great. I cant complain at all here.

Good spot to grab a bite while on base. Parking is not optimal. A bit hidden in the MWR building and does have limited hours availability.
