This is one of our family’s favorite pizzas places! We’ve tried lots of things on the menu and it’s all delicious. Our favorite is a white sauce pizza, piled high with ribeye steak – what a crazy and amazing pizza topping! Plus mushrooms, and goat cheese, all on their crisp, yet perfectly chewy crust. Sooooo good! We also love the sweet and spice honey ricotta pizza. The calabrias peppers are too hot for us, but we add pepperoni for a more managable spice. You might like them, but even the spice lovers in our house found them to be too hot. We’ve tried multiple sandwichs and appetizers – always delicious, especially the street corn and the brusesel sprouts, oh, and the meatballs. Yum, yum! Try it all – it’s all so good! .

And while I did note it was $20-$30 per person, we had a mountain of food for dinner last night, plus plenty leftover for today. We could have spent way less but we would have had to choose only one pizza and that’s no fun at all.

I ordered the meatball sandwich. The sauce itself was good, but the meatballs were pretty dry. I’m not sure if that’s how they normally serve them, but I’m used to really juicy meatballs back home in, so it fell a bit flat for me. The bread didn’t impress me either — it was basic hoagie-style bread, the kind you could easily grab from a grocery store.
The fries were okay, nothing special. However, the tomato-style soup was actually really good and probably the highlight of my meal. The atmosphere was very dark — I’m not sure if they were going for a romantic vibe, but it felt uncomfortably dim, like I was lurking in the shadows.
That said, the customer service was very nice, and our waitress was friendly and attentive. My friends ordered different items and felt the same way — overall, it was just okay.

This place is awesome! The pizza is delicious – somewhat thin, a little thicker than a true NY pizza, with a nice puffy, crispy crust, but in my opinion, the wings are the star of the show. Easily the best wings in Atlanta (sorry JR Crickets)!!! They are cooked perfectly crispy. The unicorn flavor is a mix between a dry rub and a little bit of wet sauce. The flavor is astounding. The hot wings have plenty of sauce and are also very tasty. The staff is super friendly, and the service is excellent. Highly recommend!!

Firepit Pizza Tavern delivered a fantastic experience – even though we didn’t go for the pizza this time. The wings were absolutely excellent—so good, in fact, that we ordered a second round immediately after the first hit the table. That alone says everything.

If you’re in the mood for flavorful, well-prepared wings or a fresh, satisfying salad, this is definitely the spot. We also heard from others that the pizza is excellent, so it truly seems like you can’t go wrong no matter what you order.

Great food, great vibes, and a menu that clearly delivers. We’ll absolutely be back—next time for the pizza.

The food was good! No complaints on taste. The lemon pepper wings was very good!

The pizza i felt was maybe overpriced by just $2. But it was good tasting.

The fries, very good. Only $5, and the seasoning they put on the normal fries are stellar!

I didnt like how the booths were. The back of your head was so close to the back of a strangers head in the next booth.

Id come back!

I was NOT a fan of the food… more specifically, the chicken wings. Honestly, I don’t think I’ve ever had chicken wings as bad as theres. However, my salad was good and my old fashion was good. The service from the guy that was back there assisting was great! The service from the regular lady they say is normally back there was just okay. She wasn’t friendly or welcoming to me at all.

I love that it’s a popular spot in the community and they know the names and orders of their regulars. I would definitely go back to see if I can increase the stars or even just to have a drink or two

Stop by if you’re in the area or looking for a cool place to hang out.

A nice little pizza joint in Atlanta with excellent pizza and chicken wings. I came here on a Saturday for lunch as I hadn’t been to the area before.
It’s undergoing gentrification, so there are still a lot of the old neighborhoods left around the Oakland cemetery.
We ordered a veggie pizza, a 10 piece wings with half Buffalo sauce and half unicorn seasoning, and unicorn fries. The unicorn seasoning is just UH-MA-ZING !! Both wings and fries were finger lickin’ good. The pizza was awesome, too. Not much cheese and a lot of veggies and mushrooms, the vegetable flavor came out deliciously. The amount of sauce was definitely just right to not override the other flavors.
We had also ordered a blood orange mule, which was yummy and refreshing.
There is an eating tour in that area whi h we happened to walk past on the way. It definitely spiked my interest and will be looking into it. Apparently this pizza joint is a stop on that tour.
The staff were very friendly joking and helpful. They were all talking with the customers giving a very friendly atmosphere to the whole place. The service was fast efficient.
Overall, a this place warrants multiple visits in my book to try out all their offerings as well as to check out the neighborhood more.

This place is awesome! The pizza is excellent. But let’s cut to the chase: the Unicorn Wings are out of this world!! Might be the best wings ever. Huge claim to make, but they really are that good!!

UPDATE 2/27/2026: The steak pizza is a knockout! It’s a perfect white base topped with caramelized onions, roasted peppers, and generous, tender steak. The standout is the blue cheese, flavorful without being overpowering. This restaurant has become our weekly go-to “cheat meal” obsession for months. Highly recommended!

Yummy crispy pizza and excellent wings. I tried the unicorn lemon pepper and garlic Parmesan. ALL wear yummy.
Just a heads up, they are fried. They are not baked.

Waitstaff was super friendly and kind to our whole party.
I like this place I’ll be back for more wings !!!

Amazing experience at Fire Pit Tavern! The food was absolutely delicious — I had the Meats Pizza, the Unicorn Wings, and the Pork Belly Toast, and every single dish hit . You can really tell quality and care go into the food.

The service was just as great as the food — attentive, friendly, and on point the whole time. Big shoutout to management, especially Cesar, who is clearly doing an excellent job running things.

Highly recommend this spot if you’re looking for great food and even better service. We’ll definitely be back!- @FOODTOURATL
