Firehouse Tavern is a great little spot near the Old Sunbury Courthouse. They have a great variety of menu items from gyros, pulled pork, salads and much more. Friendly staff, cool vibe and great music. Prices are reasonable. Free street parking available. We all enjoyed our meals and hope to return to try something new.

We stopped here while traveling from Massachusetts. We had the sweetest waitress Cheyenne. Our meals were very good. My husband got a burger with mushrooms and cheese and it was cooked perfectly. I got the blackened salmon salad. At first I was disappointed with the size of the salmon I thought should have been bigger (I’m from Massachusetts we get fresh salmon all the time) but I had more than enough! I left content. My only recommendation would be for presentation sake make sure the blackened side of the salmon facing up. It would look better .

Awesome little place tucked in downtown Sunbury Ohio. Wife and I have a tournament tradition to eat wings and have a beer before we play pickleball.

First time there, so hopefully just a bad day. Server was nice and professional, but for a mid-afternoon, non-rush, it took a long time to get our order taken and a long time for food to arrive. From the time we walked in to getting food was 40 minutes. Place was about 1/3 occupied. Tables sat after us had similar waits. The food itself was excellent. Fortunately, we didn’t have a schedule to keep, so all in all, it was enjoyable. No prices on menu, but price for our meal was reasonable. 3% discount for cash.

From the time we sat down till we got 1 of meals was 1 hour , it took another 10 minutes to get our second meal. We weren’t offered drink refills until our first meal came out. The table adjacent to us got their appetizers, drink refills and meals from the same server during the hour that we sat waiting. My husband’s burger and fries were good , my nachos no so much. We choose to support small business vs chains. This place was a huge disappointment!!

I stopped here for lunch during my bike ride across Ohio along the Ohio To Erie Trail. The atmosphere is casual and comfy. I had their Tavern Chicken Salad Wrap, which was terrific and healthy. The homemade thick-cut chips hit the spot as well. I was waited on by Laura, who took great care of me – she’s the best. I would eat here again the next time in the area.

We were sat as soon as we walked in (Friday for lunch), and I ordered kaboski and perogies, which is served with sauerkraut and sour cream, and it was delicious. I saw some people order their famous half pound burgers, and they look amazing as well. The atmosphere felt a little crowed, but then again, it was a small sports bar. They seem to be short staffed, but our table still got plenty of attention. Would suggest here for anyone who’s hungry!

If they want to seat you in the back room – I suggest you just pick a different restaurant or come back later…

I love supporting local places and this place seems like an awesome spot for locals to catch up and enjoy a few drinks with friends.

Sunbury Sizzle night a supposed friend of the owner’s disrespected a woman in our group using some pretty offensive language. The fact that the bar did nothing about it spoke volumes about the establishment, unfortunately. Only reason this isn’t a one star review is several of the bartenders really are good guys. But that particular evening is a big black eye for Firehouse
