I did a take out order for 2 subs. The man taking my order was very pleasant. Did not take long to get my order. When I got home we dug into our food to discover hair on one of the sandwiches. It was long piece(s) of hair that was on the sandwich even though it was cut in half. The hair was on both ends of the sandwich so there was no salvaging the sandwich. We threw it away so I wasted $12.

Food was delicious, people behind the counter were super nice. Personal preference will decide if you like a more informal approach to customer service, I do. Only thing I can really say needed done was some cleaning, like napkin dispensers and the drink fridge/dispenser. That’s just me being nit picky. Lol

We are finally trying Firehouse subs and it was a great decision! We ordered the Jamaican jerk turkey and the spicy Cajun chicken and split. Omgoodness, such great flavors. Already decided the next time we’ll be getting the meatball and the steak n cheese.

Horrible experience. What does make your own sub mean? When I ordered mine, none of what I ordered was even on my sandwich. I w as nice at 1st and said mam, this isn’t how I ordered my sandwich. She quickly replied, “that’s how it comes” I then reminded her that I ordered a makenyour own and NEVER have onions on mine. She then took her hand and removed the onion and tomato. She got very rude with me. I said I will just leave. But, I also told her I would be speaking to her manager. She replied, “go ahead, I won’t be here”. I won’t be back!!!

Usually I don’t write reviews but I just wanted upper management to know how their employees carry on in the stores.
Last Sunday I went into the Firehouse subs on Monroe St. in Toledo. The girls working were all cussing and being extremely loud. Saying how they hated school and didn’t want to go back. They didn’t give me an attitude or anything, I just felt it was extremely unprofessional.
Today, I decided to call ahead of time so I could just run in fast and not wait. The first time I called, I said “Hello, can I make a pick up order”. She immediately hung up on me. I called back, I said the same thing… I couldn’t hear what she said but she had an attitude in her voice. I said “sorry” cuz I couldn’t hear her… she literally got loud and said “what’s your name”. It wasn’t what she said (which was still rude) it was how she said it. First she yelled it, then it was with an attitude. I said “Why are you being rude… she pause, then I just hung up because I was half way there already.
When I got there, I asked the gentleman was there a manager on site. He reply yes and pointed to her. I described everything I just mentioned and she blamed it on “oh we didn’t know if you could hear us”. That definitely was not the case. If so, she would have said hello can you hear me etc. The conversation was to quick to assume I couldn’t hear. This was unacceptable. As a manager she should have been more professional herself and handle that differently.
Now as for the food. It was amazing. I have absolutely no complaints about that. The gentleman that took my order around 5:00 on 8/24/25 was very well mannered. He even apologized for the incident. The girl who made my sandwich was very sweet as well.
Like I said, I usually don’t write reviews, I just felt upper management needed to be aware of the situation and also to show Recognition for the other two workers.

Good Sub. Quality was ok. I didn’t care for the long wait. There was only one other customer in the store. Lots talking and fooling around by the staff. Get the food out the door- then have a long personal conversations.
