This was my first time trying firehouse subs and I’m so disappointed. We ordered two sandwiches that were customize. It took half a hour for two sandwiches. Once we got them both the sandwiches were wrong. We paid extra for garlic bread and got only regular bread. I asked for no tomatoes and crunchy onions. There was tomatoes and the “crunchy” onions were sludge not crunchy at all. Could barely even eat it. Paid 32$ for it and we were so excited to try them. Will probably never go back to any firehouse subs. subway is better than this.

Based on my experience here, this location was extremely disappointing. I ordered two sandwiches and both had non-edible items inside them. First sandwhich had small pieces of foil embedded within, and second sandwhich had a really long hair under the bread roll. The customer service I received from the “manager” and employee(s) encountered here was awful. It appeared that the employees who were working could care less about the quality of food they were making. Their appearance was sloppy and demeanor more so. When I asked to speak to the manager, I spoke to an individual claiming to be the manager. Maybe she was the assistant manager? Who knows. But, an individual in a managerial position should care about their customer experiences and the quality of service. This fault of theirs is definitely a concern, but the “manager” didn’t address it properly and once again, had an attitude in which she could have cared less. When I spoke to corporate about this issue, Brittney was very kind and understanding. Overall, I would never return to this location or recommend this spot. Firehouse Subs is more pricey than other like businesses, so paying more for their food, I’d expect higher quality. But unfortunately, this was not the case here today.

1st time in person from this firehouse since I stated I would never be a customer of the Derby Firehouse again. My food was made to order and tasted great! The person who made my food and the general manager (sorry I didn’t catch your name) were kind enough to give me a big side of the Jamaican jerk mustard!

I appreciate the small conversation and pleasantness as well as the accuracy of my order! I will be in to visit again!

4 stars for the atmosphere because it was a normal firehouse atmosphere but the hot sauce bar was back! Not sure if that came back to all firehouse locations as I haven’t been a customer for a few months but was pleased to see it back 🙂

Rude employees. Forgot to make my order and sat there waiting over 20 minutes. Manager never apologized and rushed to make my sandwich which was just thrown together. Firehouse used to have great service. This location is the worst!

The meatball sub is the best meatball sub in Wichita. Makes a certain well known sandwich place look pathetic. Meatballs, marinara and Italian seasonings. I always add the sautéed peppers and onions and it tastes so fresh. The marinara is fresh. The mac and cheese is simple yet tasty. Maybe a little more salt. I also got a large drink- and they have the make your own flavored Coca Cola freestyle machine. Little pricey, for some more than others, but you get the quality you pay for. The Large sub is definitely large and stacked. I got pickup and it was waiting for me in 10 minutes even with the later lunch rush- about 1330. Plus they have new take out paper bags that hold the large subs better and it’s recyclable since it’s paper.

On a personal note, I had covid-19 during Christmas and lost my taste and smell for at least a month. Even afterwards, for a few weeks, I felt foods tasted bland and uninteresting. We got Firehouse and it woke up my taste buds and was delicious.

When we arrived at the store it was not apparent to me where you were supposed to go to start making your sandwich. The environment was cool because of the firefighter equipment they had on display but I did notice a lot of their tables had not been cleaned. The employees were not exactly warm but they were not rude either. We did have to wait 30 minutes for our two medium sandwiches. I had the turkey, bacon, and ranch. My sandwich was good the meat probably being the best part of the sandwich but the sauce was not really there; to explain further it tasted more like I was eating a turkey bacon with Mayo rather than ranch and I did not really start tasting the veggies till I made it toward the middle of the sandwich. My fiancé had the firehouse steak and cheese. He did request that they changed the cheese on his sandwich to cheddar which they somehow forgot to put on his sandwich all together. My fiancé did like the flavors but had kind of the same problem I did with it which was the sauce he said there was too much Mayo on the sandwich. When it came down too it we were waiting to long on the food to sit down at the restaurant and eat together and do the review so we ended up doing it on the go.

The staff was very friendly. Been here a few times and they really skimp out on the amount of meet you get. Probably get more meet on an average sandwich at subway for the price. Last time giving this location a shot.
