My Thanksgiving sub did not look like the picture. I had little pieces of turkey on my sub, it look like the turkey was sliced from the end piece of the breast. Was hoping for nice thick slices of turkey as it is in the picture. Firehouse subs would better if they had better sub rolls. JJ has the best rolls. Don’t know what they use but they make the best.

I saw that Firehouse Subs was offering a free meal for Veterans Day 2025. Although there is not a Firehouse Subs in my area, I decided to take a drive and try out one of their subs. I called the nearest store (Severna Park, Maryland) twice and no one answered. I decided to drive to the store anyway. When I arrived I found that the Veterans Day deal was not the one that I had seen advertised. Instead, it was a buy one get one medium sub deal. Not a big deal, as I would still be getting a free sub, so I ordered a NY Steamer & a Hook & Ladder. The subs only took about 15 minutes to prepare. Unfortunately, although they were delicious, the meat portion on the sub was inadequate. This was in direct contradiction to how the portions are described on the Firehouse Subs website:

People come back again and again because, unlike other sub places, we steam our meats and cheeses, releasing a rush of flavors, then stuff a serving that’s way over code on one of our toasted private-recipe sub rolls.

Needless to say, I am extremely disappointed in Firehouse Subs and will not be returning to this particular store. I will most likely try Firehouse Subs again as the food was delicious.

I have been going regularly weekly. The sandwiches tastes delicious. But, there is always something I added extra on my order from the app, and it is always missing. Not sure why. It isn’t a huge issue, just something I have noticed.

False advertisement! I wish I could give ZERO STARS!
I had nothing but bread and cheese on my sandwich with sprinkles of meat. It looked NOTHING like the sub advertised! I waited 20 minutes for that thing! They should be ashamed of themselves serving a meatless New York Steamer. Poor customer service too. I didn’t receive a proper greeting (hello, welcome, may I take your order).
First time and last time at this location!

This is the second time at this location in the past month and the second time the food was absolutely inedible. This time was, by far, the worst of the 2. I ordered 2 subs. The bread was wrong for both subs and was not toasted. I had requested no Mayo and no oil/vinegar on my Italian subs because the bread is always soggy. Not only was both put on the sub, I think they used an entire commercial size tub of Mayo and a liter of oil and vinegar. Needless to say, the bread was a gummy, soggy mess. I had even, very nicely (because they are handling my food so I am always nice) reiterated my order and the staff rudely responded, “I heard you”. Well, clearly she had not. Worst experience at any carry out locations ever. Save your money. $25 for food that went straight away in the trash is not what I work hard for.

Not Great! I explained that I had never been there before and the people behind the counter were not at all helpful. They were not friendly either. We waited 25 mins for 2 sandwiches. Also this is the size of their small that we paid over $5 for. Definitely not going there again.

I paid $30 for two days of diarrhea. The service was slow, staff was rude and the place was not busy and it took a half hour to make 2 subs. The food was mid and not warm despite being ordered “toasted”. I usually pay a fraction of this cost for a case of the runs but I’ll chalk that up to the economy. If you ever want to have a wild time, eat at the Severna pk Fire house subs and then get stuck in bridge traffic, if you don’t ruin your car or underwear you’ll have a great story for when you finally do get to the beach. Never eating there again.

No lettuce on our subs and the bread was soggy even though we ate our subs maybe 3 minutes after it was made. Employees were arguing with each other while we waited for our food to be made. If I hadn’t put our order through the app, we wouldn’t left before ordering.

My sandwich fell over on the plate a little bit, which really detracted from the whole experience. But otherwise the cashier was nice and the food was an experience. What experience I don’t know, but it was better than Sam’s subs. Sam isn’t a restaurant, he’s a guy I know and he makes terrible subs.
