I’ve tried… gave firehouse subs multiple chances and each time they fall short. Either a messed up order, a lack of any kind of urgency or overall not seeming to care about the workplace they represent. The food is good, but the manager or that manager’s manager needs to spend some time on training, desperately.
I don’t usually write reviews, but this last experience I just had with them really pushed me over the edge. I ordered two large sandwiches, which was $38 by the way, and politely waited in the drive thru. Five minutes passed, 10 minutes passed. Cars are starting to get in line behind me. Finally someone comes to the window, hands me a paper bag with small sandwiches in the bag. I say nope this isn’t my order and I’ve been here for 15+ minutes now. He then tried to hand me two drinks, nope I already have my drink you gave me 15 minutes ago. He had no clue what was going on. My sandwiches must have disappeared? Not sure.
I’m done going to Firehouse Subs in Minden.

Love these subs. Place has great food and nice employees. The only reason I don’t give five stars is the wait time for your food. The drivethru is probably the slowest I’ve ever been in. At least 30 mins everytime regardless of how busy they are.

Dawn gave such personal warm greeting and went above and beyond. I brought my one and half year old along with my mom and they spoiled my son with a pickle and rice Krispy treat. Also what child doesn’t love a firehouse hat? The place was incredibly clean and even the owner Stephanie had went out of her way to greet us and ask about the service. For how much everything cost now a days I felt the cost was very justified with the great food and top notch service.

We haven’t been back since the store opened and at that time we thought it was ordinary and over priced. This time i thought i’d try it again. Bad idea. I ordered a corn beef wirh swiss. They usually put provolone on the sandwich but told me they had swiss and would make the switch. I also specifically said no mayo, spicy brown mustard instead and he said OK. I also requested lettuce and tomato. It was a to go order. When i got home it had lots of mayo, no spicy brown mustard and i guess because i said no provolone, swiss they decided no cheese. I called and they confirmed what i asked for which was not what i got. I was offered free sandwiches but i think my original impression of the Minden, NV location was accurate and shame on me for going back.

First time stopping at the Minden, NV firehouse subs, went to the drive-thru. Employee was friendly, took my order, asked if I wanted to round up with the change, I said yes. I get up to the window and she says do you want to add a tip? What would I be tipping someone at the drive-thru for exactly? Just curious? Do they do anything that isn’t part of their job? Not that I’m aware of. I said no, I already rounded up on the change.
Is it acceptable for employees at a fast food drive thru to ask a customer if they want to leave a tip? I don’t feel that it is.

they are not good in making any changes to your sandwich. I asked for cheese on the side and dressing on the side.
When I picked up my order, I asked her if the cheese is on the side and the dressing on the side she said yes, and handed me my bag, there was no dressing on the side very disappointing when I got home

I understand that food costs might be a little high, but for something like Firehouse it’s worth it. At this location they have some of the best service and quality of food I have had in a long time. The experience that this store gives is exceptional and worth every cent. An example of this was I went through the drive thru and ordered a hook and ladder through Dave. I found the sandwich fully of meat, and it held together. I even tried their sauces, and that was amazing too… didn’t compromise the structure at all. Dave was succinct and thorough with his order taking. I left a tip too. Thank you Firehouse for breathing life into the sandwich options here.
