I placed a drive-through order for two meatball subs. Following the instructions of the drive-through attendant, I parked my truck near the establishment’s double doors to await my order. While parked, I was nearly involved in a collision when another large vehicle attempted to maneuver into an adjacent parking space. This incident highlighted a significant safety hazard associated with the designated customer waiting area by the double doors, as it appears to create an unsafe environment for vehicles and patrons.
Upon returning to the drive-through to report this safety concern, the attendant informed me that this parking arrangement was due to ‘corporate policy.’ I then requested to speak with a manager to escalate my concerns regarding the potential hazard. My subsequent interaction with the manager was equally disappointing, as they appeared dismissive and uninterested in addressing either the safety issue or my overall experience.
Given the unsatisfactory resolution of my concerns, I decided to enter the restaurant to collect my order and request a refund. During this interaction, a staff member abruptly attempted to take physical possession of my food. I had to physically retain my purchase to prevent it from being removed. Upon returning to my vehicle, I discovered that the order was incorrect; I had received only one sandwich instead of the two meatball subs I had paid for, as confirmed by my receipt. I then had to return to the drive-through a second time to rectify this order discrepancy, which was eventually corrected.
The entire experience, encompassing the safety concern in the parking area, the unhelpful and dismissive staff interactions, the contentious exchange regarding a refund, and the initial incorrect order, was deeply unprofessional and far below the standard I would expect from Firehouse Subs. I believe this situation reflects poorly on customer service and potential safety protocols at this location.
I would appreciate the opportunity to discuss this matter with the owner or a senior member of your management team to ensure such incidents are addressed and prevented in the future.
Sincerely,
Jason Duncan
I got home to find that we got two Italian sandwiches instead with no garlic bread. Called the store and they only wrote down the garlic bread was missing. Got my first name and ended the call.
I went In today 10/13/25 to get my sandwich fixed. The manager put my order in. I get outside and no garlic bread still. Manger told me the person that made my sandwich was confused and made it garlic bread fir the sandwich. I checked it and it is just normal white bread and soggy as he’ll.
Seems this store has went down hill since I ordered last year. Not sure if the employees don’t care or are not trained well. Next time I will go to Penn Station, Subway, or Jerseys Mikes.
All-in-all the visit was fine I guess, but every other Firehouse Subs I have stopped at is excellent so I left disappointed.
