Red tables and chairs sit on a 1950’s style black and white told floor. The prep area is similar to a make fountain bar, only much taller. Fire house memorabilia, photos and a nice mural to top off the overall look.
The menu is nicely laid out being the bar. All subs are served hot and come in small, medium and largeb sizes. The rolls were very soft and came in either white or wheat. Additional toppings are available.
My meatball sub was large and delicious. The sauce is sweet without an overwhelming Organo taste. Our streak and cheese sub was, how shall I say this?… without cheese!!! Someone screwed this up, but the taste made this issue secondary.
Stop in and enjoy!
Subway, more like NO-way. If you see this please give them a try.
Today was no different. I ordered my usual large steak and cheese lite pep and onion. No condiments. When ordering I was cut off by the order taker a few times who was not courteous as the folks in there usually are. Shrugged it off as they had been pretty busy. Got my food in hand got home and this is what I received. Half prepared 16$ sandwich. I called up as soon as I noticed and asked for a manager. I dealt with “Gloria” who come to find out was also who took my order. Who also said she was the shift supervisor. Now that being said. She never once apologized. She just saw oh they probably forgot to finish the meat. As she yelled down the line and asked the coworker rudely if she made the mistake. I asked too just take my name and replace it next time I’m in. She refused, was rude – said you gotta bring it back and the receipt, she was very unprofessional and gave me an o’well approach. She even hung up one me! Because I asked for her supervisor’s info. When I called back, she answer again and still would not answer me. She put down the phone without saying the name. Then a nice gentleman came to the phone and answered “ yes sir I understand. – her name is ——— and to call in the am.” I asked if he heard the way she was talking and to understand that I would follow up. He also understood.
-That gentleman needs to be in her job.
“Gloria needs to be nicer to customers. Especially when you just sent sub out like this.
I will NOT be back for a while.
When I do – if she’s there you can guarantee I will not be eating there.
Unnecessary and unacceptable treatment Firehouse.
Best wishes.
