I ordered the NY Steamer and was given a sandwich with all fat in place of the corned beef. I returned to the counter and was met with an attitude and told this is what corned beef is. After a short snarky exchange by the employee a new sandwich was prepared for me with even larger amount of fat pictured below. This is not what corned beef is. Disgusting and disappointing. Won’t return. Staff should be trained on customer service and the AC should be turned on.

Had a really frustrating experience with a pickup order today. I made a 50-minute round trip to Firehouse Subs for a Veggie Sandwich, and when I got home, I found it had BACON and mushrooms inside, even though I specifically asked for no mushroom. And since when is bacon vegetarian?! This was a real letdown.

Does anyone know how to hire people that are competent enough to work in a customer based business? Person taking the order can not type it in correctly and therefore food was wrong. Not surprised because of the laughing and cutting up at the food prep. No children can appreciate having a job and make their boss feel like they made the right decision in hiring them. This is twice i have been in the last month and had crappie service. Floors looked like they hadn’t been swept in 3 days. Will be a long time before I go back in here again, if they remain in business. If it was possible would give negative stars!

Prices high for what you get. Sub size has changed not as much meat ect. Was much better when they first opened. Now everything is small and 2 times the cost.

This my go to sub place in Clayton. I’m old school and miss the days where employees actually spoke to customers. These folks act like zombies. I was the only person in the store waiting for an online order and the kid is going to stick it on the rack and I was sitting 2 feet from. I asked him who it was for and when he said my name, I was like Bingo. When he did speak, he was polite, so there’s that.

The food is amazing but the restaurant itself is soo dirty. The restrooms particularly are filthy. They look they haven’t been cleaned in a long time. The drink station was really dirty also…like it hadn’t been cleaned for weeks.

Ham Sub is fresh one white soft bread! The ham is very very sweet like a honey ham, a little unexpected. My son states the meatball subs and turkey is awesome! The dill pickle is perfection tho!

Decided to give this place one more chance. I love Firehouse Subs but this location has screwed up all 4 of my previous orders. A coworker said it’s better to order with app. So I did since I already had on phone. I triple checked my order online “large club on a sub with NO ONIONS”. I got there at 8:35PM to pick up. They close at 9. I had to ask where my food was, everyone seemed to be doing nothing but goofing off except one person mopping floor, I did a quick check and it looked correct. Everything on the order slip taped to the bag was correct. I left and took food back to work. I pulled sub out and took one big bite ( yup , you guessed , ONIONS!!!). I’m done with this location. And as soon as I left to go to car they turned the inside lights out at 8:41 (even though they close at 9.

I ordered 2 cheese steak subs to go. The girl seemed to be having trouble entering the order into the cash register. Finally got the 2 subs and brought them home.
I’ve Never had a cheese steak sub with so little in it. The steak, green peppers, and onions were almost non-existent. There wasn’t even an inch of contents inside the sub.
New inexperienced help? We’ve been going to the Clayton, NC location since it opened, and we have not ever received anything like this. It won’t happen again as we’ll go elsewhere.

Amazing food! Everything was fresh and was so good! My family ordered Firehouse for dinner a few nights ago and everyone was very pleased. We will definitely be back! Great job Firehouse!
