Went in today to pick up an online order for 1:25 and instead of having my order at the to-go window it got forgotten because the manager was too busy absolutely tearing into two, who I assume are, newer hired gentlemen. The manager refused to give out a number to one of her superiors, as well as argued with another customer seated next to me. I will be finding a way to submit a formal complaint about that manager.
Other than that, most of the time my experiences here are very good. The food is peak, but they need to change that managers attitude. Seriously.
I am writing to report a very troubling experience that occurred at the Firehouse Subs location in Carlisle today. I visited the restaurant with my grandmother and my son, and what should have been a simple lunch turned into a very uncomfortable and disturbing situation due to the behavior of one of your employees.
During our visit, a female employee was reprimanding a coworker loudly and harshly for what she claimed he was doing incorrectly. This went on for at least 20 minutes. Her tone was demeaning, unprofessional, and clearly humiliating for the staff member involved. This type of conversation should have taken place privately, not in front of customers and not in such a disrespectful manner.
The situation became so uncomfortable that I eventually said, “This is very disturbing.” A gentleman and lady seated near us commented that they had been thinking the same thing, which shows this was not an isolated impression.
When I requested the manager’s information, the woman claimed she was the manager. However, the two male employees nearby shook their heads and clarified that she was not. I then asked for the owner’s number, and she told me it could not be provided. When I stated that I would contact corporate, she raised her voice again and told me to “just eat,” which was extremely unprofessional and disrespectful.
I have never witnessed behavior like this from someone in customer service. Not only was I disrespected, but so was the employee she berated, as well as the surrounding customers who were forced to listen to her loud and inappropriate conduct. It appeared to stem from some sort of power struggle, and it created an extremely negative environment for everyone present.
I hope this matter is taken seriously and addressed promptly. No employee should be treated in such a manner, and no customer should have to experience an environment like this while simply trying to enjoy a meal. The food was amazing and the two gentlemen were absolutely accommodating!
Thank you for your attention to this issue. I would appreciate a follow-up regarding any actions taken. If you have further questions about this situation please give me a contact number and I will reach out to the owner of this franchise.
I had to drive back & get delivered. Burned my extra 8 miles & fuel & time
Instead, it took 45 minutes to get the two sandwiches that we ordered. It seemed like it was everyone on staff’s first day – there was no efficiency or organization whatsoever. They were clearly prioritizing online orders over people who were waiting in person; this is what I was rudely informed of by the “manager” (very unpleasant) when I came in MULTIPLE times from the parking lot where I was waiting in my car. Putting aside the fact that prioritizing online orders is ridiculous when there are people waiting in person, there were multiple staff members standing around doing absolutely nothing while bread burned in the toaster.
My blood pressure was through the roof when I left this establishment and we ended up having to rush to get to our event. The sandwiches were halfway decent, though.
