My brisket sandwich was ice cold with congealed fat on stringy pieces of meat. The barbeque sauce was ice cold and chunky, even the cheese was hard around the edges. I was just waiting to be ill as the sandwich was that bad. I took two bites, from my large, $32.42, sandwich and gave the rest to the dog. Do not go to this restaurant, go to Jersey Mike’s. At least they seem to care, after all they warm up your food…and before you ask, yes I asked for it to be warm and toasty. I received over priced fat, covered with ice cold sauce, and hard cheese. I am so disappointed…and still hungry.

While waiting to order my food I watched the cashier yawn in the customer in front of mine’s face multiple times, once I walked up she continued to yawn in mine as well. While taking my order she asked for my name and how to spell it (as you can see my very common name) to which she misspelled it. She also did not give me the cup for my drink. I ordered food at 1:55 pm. I did not receive my food until 2:25 pm. Once I got my order, it was missing my side so they had to prepare that as well. 35 minutes for a sandwich with some fries, bad customer service, and the food was less than average. Multiple customers approached me asking if mine was taking as long as theirs. It’s a sandwich shop, not a sit in restaurant. Will not return.

I don’t know why this is labeled as fast food because I waited an hour for an online order that said it would be ready by a designated time. That time came and went and before I knew it it had been an hour. I waited so long I even had to buy a drink to quench my thirst of the hour I waited. The employees acted like you were bothering them when you asked for an update on their order. Let’s just say I will be praying for them tonight! Do not go unless you want a day long dinning experience!!

I am writing to express my disappointment with a recent visit. The staff appeared disorganized and inefficient, which was evident in the lack of progress and attention to the waiting customers in the lobby. The delay in informing us about the broken bread warmer and the unavailability of large cups was inconvenient. Furthermore, the soda machine was in poor condition, with a noticeable foul odor, sticky surfaces, and malfunctioning drink options. The machine sprayed neon orange drink mix, nearly hitting us. The wait time for two subs exceeded 30 minutes, and the sound of metal being microwaved was concerning. Given the cost, I expected a significantly better experience.

Food is great. But don’t attempt to walk in (not busy in store) and get a sandwich within 35 mins due to online orders take priority to walk-ins. Time was 1:17-1:56 on 10/31/25. 1 Small sandwich and a salad. Recommend disclosing the wait time at the register so I can make a decision on whether or not I can wait.

I purchased 2 subs with a total of 31.82 this is include a tip and a roundup. I told the host how I wanted my sub. I ask her to tell the cook to heat up my bacon I do not want it cold. I told her twice and when I got my order the bacon was not heated. It was cold. You take orders to satisfy customers what they want. Firehouse did not comply with my order very disappointing.

10/3/2025- The sub is always good. The staff is friendly. I always request an excessive amount of onions and lately I haven’t been able to get the amount of onions I request. I offered to pay for them but was told that their supply was low. I would like to speak with a manager to come up with a monetary amount that I can pay to get what I want.

Chico’s Review of Firehouse Subs in Camden, S.C.: Captain’s Club Sandwich

During a recent visit to Firehouse Subs in Camden, S.C., I decided to try the new Captain’s Club sandwich, and it certainly delivered on flavor. The sandwich impressed me right from the first bite, with rich, smoky flavors paired perfectly with fresh ingredients, making it a standout item on the menu.

One of the key highlights of the sandwich was Captain Sorensen’s Hot Sauce. The zesty kick it added brought out the best in the sandwich’s flavors without overpowering them. The sauce, combined with crisp vegetables and hearty, well-cooked meats, made each bite a delight. The white bread was another plus—it was soft, fresh, and held all the ingredients together without getting soggy.

The sandwich was presented well, and the portion size was generous—definitely worth the price. I also opted for the Captain’s Combo, which included kettle-cooked sea salt and vinegar chips and a drink, rounding out the meal nicely.

However, I did notice that the cleanliness of the restaurant could use improvement. Despite the good customer service and prompt delivery of food, almost every table in the dining area was dirty. A bit more attention to maintaining clean tables would have made the dining experience more enjoyable.

If you’re a fan of well-crafted sandwiches with a bit of heat, the Captain’s Club is definitely worth a try. It’s a fantastic addition to the Firehouse Subs menu, and I’m looking forward to coming back for more.

Fire house subs has gone to the dogs. They don’t know how to make subs and stand around looking at you and don’t help you . And this place represents fire fighters . Sad the owner don’t care how bad fire house subs is. Very disappointed in this place. Definitely they do not care and can’t make a decent sandwich. No wonder it’s dead in this place
