This is one of our favorite places to eat and it’s real close to our house. It’s Middle Eastern NY style street food. The restaurant isn’t very big but it’s clean, decor is fitting, and the staff is very friendly. The food is always delicious, fresh and they have some awesome sauces….especially the hot sauce. We usually get shawarma combos or in a pita with hummus or falafels. They food always comes out quick, hot, and they take extra time with presentation. Today we shared a beef shawarma combo and a side of hummus….tasty as always. If you like this kind of food we definitely recommend it !

The food was good—almost as good as what I’ve had in NYC. I took off one star because of the amount of gyro meat in the mixed grill. In NYC, it’s usually about half gyro and half chicken, but the plate I received was mostly chicken with just a small amount of gyro (about 70% chicken and 30% gyro). Also, if you’re ordering takeout, they’re a bit stingy with the white sauce. When you dine in, they give you a bottle so you can use as much as you want. Overall, I would go again, but next time I’ll make sure to ask for more gyro meat and extra white sauce on my takeout order.

I personally judge Halal spots on their rice plates first (chicken or lamb), then their kabobs then everything else so this spot passes the initial test w the lamb and chicken over rice with that special white and red sauces poured delicately over all that tender meat and crispy veg (small salad on the side). Definitely helps the owner’s daughter’s mad helpful and could hook you up with a recommendation if you ask. I saw plenty of people picking up for the lunch rush but I was still in and out of the spot in under 10 min, very prompt and fast service. Going back for more real soon!

This is a hidden gem. Gyro platter and falafel were amazing. Portions were extremely large. Fed two people with extra sides each and desert for less than fifty dollars with drinks plus we have two pounds of leftovers. I can’t stress enough how good this place is and the service is friendly and fast and the food was all made fresh. Worth the stop.

Very disappointed- I’m a regular customer I order for pick up and delivery. I always ask for their sauces and the other day when I got home no sauce in the bag in spite of asking them, if the sauce was in the bag which they confirmed it was. Also the chicken kebab over rice was hard and charred. When I called to complain, the answers were hilarious. You should check the bag before you leave to make sure the sauce is in the bag and regarding the hard and charred chicken, may be the chef left it too long in the grill oh my goodness can you ever accept such an answer? so she said oh I will let the manager know and I gave my number. There was no follow up call from anybody and this is not the service I expected from this place especially being a very good regular customer. I told them I hate writing bad Google reviews and I would appreciate a call back, but since there was no respect for the complaint made, I guess I have to write a bad Google review. I’m sorry about

Sauces bring the flavor to the bland food and I am aware you get one white and one red sauce for each item – yes it’s human to miss something but a simple apology would have been nice – your bags are knotted and we never check what’s inside till we get home as we trust the people who we place orders with here’s a picture of charred chicken and I was not going to drive back 20 minutes again

food taste good as always but the serving size went down so much from last year, i order the same thing everytime i go here and in the photo this is all the gyro they gave me in my uber eats order (i ate only the salad prior to noticing) smh not worth the money now and the same thing in my other bowl since i ordered two , basically salad rice and a tiny sprinkle of gyro, hopefully they go back to there old portions

Delicious food in a small storefront. I live nearby and have eaten here multiple times and it’s consistently good with fresh food and friendly service. The falafel or shawarma over rice are my usual choice, and I always ask for extra of their fantastic white sauce.
I usually take out but the small seating area is basic but clean.

Amazing! Surprisingly great. I’m half Greek so I’ve eaten similar food and this is great. The falafel is amazing, the pita bread is homemade, and the baklava is the best I’ve had in 20 years since my beekeeping professor made some with our honey. I’m inspired to make some baklava the next time I bake. I think they used real honey and pistachio! Yum

Fire Up Halal Grill was a bit out of my way, but I was eager to give it a try—and it absolutely did not disappoint. I ordered the combo chicken/gyro over rice to go, and even as a takeout meal, it was bursting with flavor and freshness.
Portion sizes? Generous enough to make you feel like you’re getting more than your money’s worth. Taste, portion, and service all get a solid 5 stars from me.
This place didn’t just meet expectations—it exceeded them. I’m already looking forward to coming back and trying more from the menu. Fire Up Halal Grill is a hidden gem worth discovering.
