Casual, cheery Cajun restaurant with bold wall murals offering spicy Southern grub.

Stopped here today for a late lunch and man, why haven’t I ate here sooner! I had the gator bites and fried shrimp with cheese grits. Everything was hot and fresh and super tasty. The sauce with the gator bites is to die for. Loved the ambiance plus my server was very attentive and sweet. Would highly recommend.

Been here multiple times now and each time has been excellent! Their jambalaya and seafood platters have perfect seasoning and spices. I’ve tried multiple dishes and each one was perfect. Even some family of mine from New Orleans loved it. Service has also been great every time. Definitely recommend!

What a fun restaurant! Just happened in for lunch and left so satisfied. Authentic New Orleans cuisine! The service was quick, the servers were friendly and always checking in on us. We highly recommend this spot, we only wish we lived closer because I would love to come back and try more menu items. Pictured are the fried green tomatoes and shrimp/grits !!

Me and my sister went for the first time yesterday, it was pretty good!
We got the gator bites and Jilly buckets. We were hungry so we started eating before we remembered to take pictures of it lol. Both were great. They both came out less than 15 mins from when we sat down, it was surprisingly quick.
We also got the beignets. Our server told us they had special ones with icing and sprinkles, so of course we got those. It was SUPER yummy…
I did have to wave someone down to ask for a refill because I was dying from the spice(not really), but thats about it. We still got decent service. Nice ladies!
For the atmosphere, it was kinda dimly lit, but there was enough light. There was some nice blues/jazz music playing, but it was also being mixed with loud modern pop music being played from the kitchen, so that kinda killed the New Orleans vibe just a little bit, lol.
Will probably come again to try some other dishes!

Went here with my adopted mom before a ball game. Spontaneous visit & MADISON was absolutely phenomenal! Service was amazing food was so flavorful! We had 2 apps (big yummy gator bites & fried green tomatoes) & 2 tacos each. Literally had to take a portion of each dish home because of how BIG the portion sizes were. Love the fact that you can mix & match the tacos even if you just get 2. Tacos were huge I had to tap out & take to go. ***SN I’m from New Orleans and I’ve only been here once before. Sat by the bar and the last time & love all the decor. So many small details that’ll keep you busy as conversation topics. Love the art. This time sat behind the alligator statue when you 1st walk in. Give this local gem a try.

We stopped in after visiting Blue Springs for a fabulous lunch. I had the taste of NOLA, husband had shrimp and fish tacos. The taste of NOLA was wonderful, all 3 dishes (gumbo with chicken and Andouille, red beans and rice and seafood jambalaya) were all well seasoned and very flavorful. Huge shrimp in the jambalaya! Normally I add hot sauces, but these were so good I ate with nothing else added. I took enough home for at least one, possibly two meals. Husband said the tacos were really good as well. Our server was attentive and helpful. We were only sorry we were too full to try the beignets or bread pudding.
The restaurant has lots of bright New Orleans colors on the walls. It is a relatively open space with concrete floors and tends to be a bit noisy, so more of a be loud with friends kind of place, although tables are well spaced and the two of us had no problem chatting .
An added bonus was seeing one of the sandhill cranes our server says hangs around the area. If you like Cajun food, that is very flavorful without being hot, this place is for you.

Fire On the Bayou is one of those spots you step into without big expectations… and walk out absolutely blown away. The flavors here are bold, soulful, and unmistakably Louisiana — the kind of cooking that feels like a warm hug straight from the bayou.
The fried green tomatoes smothered in rich, seasoned gravy was a standout — crispy, tender, and packed with flavor. The jambalaya delivered that perfect balance of smoky sausage, savory spices, and hearty rice. And the bread pudding? A thick, decadent slab swimming in warm buttery rum sauce that could easily be a dessert on its own spotlight.
From the warm service to the generous portions, Fire on the Bayou proves that great food doesn’t need flash — it just needs heart. A true hidden delight in Deltona, and absolutely worth the visit.

This was our second time giving this restaurant a try. As someone who’s actually visited and ate at restaurants in New Orleans and the surrounding towns (gained 5 lbs in one week), the seasoning on most of the items we’ve tried did not meet my expectations.Cajun food is known for full flavor and proper seasoning. This is the main issue I had. The catfish bites were very bland, didn’t really even taste salt. I ordered snow crab bucket (garlic butter flavor) and the Jilly bucket (Louisiana flavor). The butter flavored crab bucket was okay. 4 clusters and one half of corn. The Jilly bucket did not have an sauce, broth, or seasoning. It was basically boiled crab, shrimp, sausage, and potatoes with NO seasoning. Not one speck called and spoke to the manager who told me that the Louisiana flavor is without sauce. Okay, but does that also mean absent of seasonings, too??? Highly disappointed. Especially after spending almost $200. Probably will not be back.

Had a taste for Creole and thought we’d give this place a try.
Appearance: quaint little place with great artwork and simple seating. High ceilings. Kept simple and open.
Food: Delicious. Healthy portions. Made very similar to NOLA. Appetizer was Gator bites which were excellent. Main dishes (mine anyway – Redfish etoufe w/crawfish tails) didn’t seem to come as hot as one would think a freshly made dish should be. It was acceptably warm but seemed to have sat for a few minutes after being prepared. It was super good though!
The wife had a Cajun shrimp/rigatoni dish that had amazing flavor. Excellent.
Service: The waitress was very attentive and pleasant. No uniforms were worn – just everyday clothes. To me, this was a bit unprofessional looking and detracted from the venue.
Ambiance: POOR. Everything in there is a hard surface which makes any noise echo like crazy. Hard floor and walls with high ceilings = echo chamber. If it is at all busy you’ll have to shout to the person sitting across the table from you. Very loud when it’s busy.
All in all it is a great place for a tasty, quick, meal.

Fried green tomatoes with crawfish on top, Boudin Balls and shrimp and grits, spot on!! Carrie our server should be rated best server in Orange city! Very attentive and never missed a beat! We WILL be back ! If you don’t come here for a taste of New Orleans you truly are missing out !! (Sorry we dug in before we took the photo!!)
