Widely known for specialty pizzas served from the 1985 International Fire Engine that was stationed on Fairfield Avenue, Fire Engine Pizza Co. was reinvented to bring together classic combinations with a modern twist. The menu offers gluten free options, a homemade mozzarella wedge that’s unlike any others around – oozing with fresh mozzarella cheese, roasted red peppers, basil, garlic, and spinach as well as entrees that have quickly become the talk of the town including Carmine’s Eggplant, Rigatoni Tuscana, and Sunday at Carmela’s just to name a few.

Pizza good
They pour a good drink too
The steak tips were a very underwhelming portion and the biggest nicest piece was raw. They should work on that particular appetizer. Should’ve said something but were friendly with staff and didn’t want to make a big deal about it. Felt like I threw away 18$ on them. Should’ve just got another pie or more wings which are really good.
When we arrived we were greeted with a friendly but very soft spoken young woman. Unfortunately she spoke so softly I couldn’t hear her and there was confusion about where we wanted to be seated. The dining room was completely empty so I am not sure why she tried to seat us right next to the bar.
Once seated in the dining we were able to experience the very neat firehouse theme throughout the restaurant. The atmosphere was casual and laid back – good for a more casual lunch or evening meal.
Our sever was very quick to take our order and very friendly. The service we received throughout our meal was excellent.
We ordered 2 starters to begin our meal: the Brussel sprouts and the firehouse fries. The Brussel sprouts were cooked perfectly and the white sauce they were in tasted delicious. The fries were nice and crispy and in a very generous portion accompanied with 3 dipping sauces.
For our entrees my wife and I both ordered pizza. My wife ordered a simple pepperoni and bacon pizza and I decided to be a little adventurous and order the MacKenzie Rose pizza which had Marinated plum tomatoes, basil pesto, fresh mozzarella, chicken, and balsamic reduction.
Both pizzas tasted absolutely amazing! They are baked in a fire engine that’s been converted into a pizza oven! The pizza oven flavor make these pizzas stand out from any other pizza shop in town.
When it came time to box up out leftovers (the small pizzas are pretty big!) I was surprised and very appreciate of the fact that our server actually boxed up our pizzas and starters for us! This was a nice touch that ended a perfect service.
Overall I would absolutely recommend you make a visit to Fire Engine Pizza Company 3 for a casual yet tasty pizza experience.
The waitress/bartender was running all the tables by herself. The male whom im assuming is a manager was too busy taking shots at the bar or talking to his friends to assist her, until his friends came in and he made sure to jump into action for them.
The male was so kind to jump over 3 tables that were sat before his friends table to get his friends table drinks and food order instead of helping the waitress. This table also received expedited service for their food long before tables who ordered before them.
Two tables that were sat after us received their food and finally 20 minutes later our food finally arrived. When it did arrive the food was very good.
Had the favoritism not been so obvious, the manager doing shots and chatting at the bar then actually helping his staff and i would’ve rated this higher. It really affected our time out.
