The menu was all messed up. We had 2 menus before they cud figure out it was the 3rd menu was the one being served. Took at least 20 minutes for our drinks to arrive. The waitress was very nice but came back seldom. Easy to pricey for the service provided

I have ate here a few times and each time have progressively gotten worse unfortunately. The food is hit or miss. So my family and I had decided to celebrate my birthday, we reserved outside for dinner time. The staff is pleasant i just don’t think they have a lot of experience and it shows. We were seated and when we went to order our apps, they were out of two items and it was only 6! So disappointing from the beginning. We ordered different choices and our drinks. Shortly after we are served our apps, but we don’t have any plates or silverware. After asking for those items they served our drinks, however not my glass of wine. The tuna nachos were tasty and I proceed to wait for my wine. I see other tables sat and served their drinks. We’ve been sitting now for 40 mins, our server finally comes back and I ask for my wine, she goes of course I’ll get you another. I said I haven’t even gotten the one I ordered. Then she’s like oh let me see if it’s ready. She comes back out with the wine and shortly after our meals. I was really excited for the scallops and lobster risotto. However, just another disappointment. The scallops were cooked well, but the risotto was hard, I ate maybe a 1/3 of it and just couldn’t do it anymore. At that point I just wanted to leave.

Beautiful venue with a lot of good architectural design to the restaurant which brought in a lot of natural lighting. Only needs some minor ceiling leak repairs and painting. Service could have been more attentive yet it was Mother’s Day, a very busy day. The food was very delicious and diverse, well prepared with the best large sized fresh shrimp that I have ever had in a restaurant in 50 years. Very nice sized slices of tender prime rib and vegetarian friendly. One thing missing were rolls/bread and the dessert bar was a bit limited. Great many chocolate desserts but not much variety of other desserts.

My friend and I were looking for a spot to meet halfway between Glastonbury and Naugatuck, so we ended up at Fire at the Ridge. We sat upstairs, and for most of the night we were the only table up there. The restaurant was beautiful inside with its festive decorations. I saw they had an indoor fire pit, which I’m sure is so cozy when it’s on. Our waitress was attentive, and the food came out very quickly. The truffle Mac was delicious, but definitely more on the simple side, and we enjoyed the garlic parm wings and short rib with polenta. I appreciated their well-rounded menu. I was a little disappointed when the waitress brought over our check without asking if we wanted dessert because there were some interesting choices, but I guess we didn’t really need it anyway. This restaurant is so tucked back, I think it’s a well-kept secret! I couldn’t believe the restaurant wasn’t more busy on a Friday night, but I’m sure at Powder Ridge’s peak season this place is packed. My friend and I will be keeping this spot in mind to meet up at again!

The atmosphere was great, cozy environment very warm and welcoming. The food was very tasty, I had the salmon and really enjoyed it. Only downfall was the service. Our waitress had forgot about us and I wouldn’t have been that upset had I didn’t see her squatting on the floor texting in hiding. I finally waived her down as a reminder and was able to get my check. Fix the service and it’ll be a five star for sure.

Not a fan of the Mother’s Day brunch. Was not worth the money spent. Didn’t even attempt to go back for seconds as there weren’t many options. Dessert was a bunch of petite pieces that kids wouldn’t enjoy. Eggplant parmesan looked plastic and dry – I attempted it and was correct on my initial thought. Salad was great and so was shrimp cocktail.

First time ordering from here. The food was pretty good and the inside of the restaurant was very nice. If we are in the area again, we may stop by for another meal.

I recently visited for the Special Olympics Alpine skiing competition. Primarily outside, it was a good environment. On an earlier visit my employer had a holiday luncheon there. Food was good and plentiful, the dining space was up-scale enough while the larger bar area was attractive, but I did not buy a drink there. I would definitely consider going back.

Mother’s Day brunch was not my first experience at Fire at the Ridge but it will be my last. $60 a head and the buffet was cold, dry and mediocre. There was an omelette station but I didn’t go out for Mother’s Day brunch to eat a $60 omelette. The Caesar salad wasn’t even made. I had a heap of romaine and drizzled some store brand Caesar dressing on it. The meatballs were from the freezer aisle. My mom said it was worse than a Ponderosa buffet. The desserts were tiny little Costco things, they can’t even be called cakes. I ordered the bottomless mimosas. In the past it came with a bottle of champagne and carafe of OJ. Not today. It was painful to keep asking the waitress to keep’em coming, when we could find her. Our bill for 2 people was $170. We’ve eaten at Viron Rondo for cheaper than that. My brother was the only smart one that refused to eat there and pay that. He picked up homeade stuffed shrimp from Pagliaccis on the way home for $30. I am absolutely sick to my stomach when I think of the bill and the horrible reheated Costco food in that buffet. Disgusting.

Ordered an appetizer (calamari) and the burger. Burger came out first for whatever reason. The calamari came about 15 minutes later?! Clearly an issue with timing. The burger was very good, but the calamari was soggy like it has been cooked in the microwave. I didn’t order dessert and I’m glad I didn’t. I saw the desserts… They didn’t look appealing for the price.
