I was walking around the mall area, got hungry, and decided to stop here for lunch. First time at Cape May and apparently there are better restaurants around here. The food at Fins was alright, nothing special.
Came during “off season” (winter) so we had no issues with getting a table. They played Christmas music.
Ordered old bay chicken wings, a crab cake sandwich, and a spiked hot cider. You would think the chicken wings would come with celery and carrots.
The crab cake sandwich was okay – neither particularly great nor awful (8/10). This is a beach town so I was expecting something exciting. It came with a small bag of chips …. I thought we would get fries like a ‘fish and chips’.
You can’t really mess up spiked hot cider so there was that.

I heard weekend will be long waiting time to get in . Luckily we entered no wait time at all because of Thursday branch. Foods could be better if I’m close to water but it’s not too special. We had great time while we having brunch. Service was good.

We’ve ate here a few times during the summer. Recently, we were a bit taken back by the prices. The food is mediocre overall, the atmosphere is nice with the option to sit inside, at the bar, or outside. I’ve never had an issue with services as they are attentive and friendly.
We stopped for a quick bit and ordered the French onion, claims, and shrimp cocktail. The French onion and claims were good and priced fairly. The menu for shrimp cocktail (jumbo shrimp) did not list the number of shrimp. Turned out only being 5 shrimp for $22 which seems a bit steep for shrimp just placed in ice and a plate. Total bill was $100 with one $13 drink and tip.
We were hesitant to order more at that point and left still hungry.

*I want to give credit to where it was do. Staff members did a great job. Best thing about this place is the service. Our waiter from the other night did a wonderful job.*
Entrees were not good. Sadly over priced. Appetizers are good and so are the drinks. Again they are a little expensive though. Not somewhere I’m coming back unless their is new ownership or a new chef in that kitchen.

Nice option for a bite to eat on a scenic corner a short stroll away from the beach.
Tried oysters from the raw bar, a lobster roll, salad, and a crab cheeseburger. The oysters were absolutely the star of the show. The lobster roll was stuffed full and the lobster itself was delicious but the roll came out a little soggy and was falling apart halfway through. The crab cheeseburger was interesting but I think next time just going with a crab cake might be the move, the beef patty flavor kind of overwhelms the crab topping.
Absolutely beautiful restaurant inside and out. We opted to enjoy the patio and people watch. Very happy with our choice to do so!
One small detail that was a slight annoyance regarding happy hour. Apparently Fins doesn’t do happy hour on Sundays if the following monday is a holiday. All of the happy hour special menus were out on the tables and we weren’t told this information when we were sat, but only after we had made our choices and attempted to order off this menu. Removing these menus when the special isn’t available or training staff to address this while seating would be a good idea, we overheard a few other tables go through the same conversation with the server so it seems that we weren’t the only people to be confused and a bit let down.
Mixed drink was so-so but the beer was cold!
Overall, Some points that could be improved, but generally we had a good experience and we would come back. L

After a long stroll in the streets of Cape May, we came across Fins Bar & Grille, and it turned out to be a great find. I ordered the grilled tuna with fresh salad and sweet potato chips, and it was absolutely delicious. The tuna was perfectly cooked, and the salad was fresh and light, making for a flavorful and satisfying meal. Their sandwiches were also very good. Though pricy, we really enjoyed the freshly made food. It’s definitely worth checking out if you’re in Cape May!

Honestly really great spot! It’s a cool modern bar with great eats! It’s a perfect in-between bar not to casual and not to fancy! Great food, atmosphere, and everything else!

Had a great time for brunch. They also have different fundraising events on the weekends and with live music. They also have indoor and outdoor seating. Very good service and very very fresh sea food dishes. Loved the fresh oysters, calamari and crab cake sandwich. Also tried the fish tacos and the crab flat bread.

Was visiting Cape May for the weekend for the Congress Hall Christmas lighting so we stopped in for lunch and a cocktail. Calamari and French Onion Soup, both were excellent ad the bartenders were are great too. Great place to sit at the bar and relax even through the weekend we were there was more busy then summertime weekends. Highly recommend!!
