Fins is a beautiful restaurant in the Camp Margaritaville Resort, Crystal Beach, TX.
The restaurant over looks the concert area and has beautiful views of sunsets. It’s a great place to sit, listen to music and have drinks, appetizers, or a meal. We went for the shrimp boil. While we waited we had chips and salsa, it was good. The shrimp boil was too spicy for my taste but my husband loved it. It was generously portioned and served in metal tins. Our server seemed a bit overwhelmed due to a ralley increasing the numbers of tables served. All in all a good experience.

Food is good, service is good but despite calling in advance and making reservations, we still had to wait for a long time before they give us a table. Food came to the table fairly quick.

We took a golf cart ride to Margaritaville the week of spring break and had some cocktails while sitting outside on their patio. The frozen margaritas for five dollars were perfect! Berat took such good care of us and he was so pleasant and amazing!

Update: Visited a year later than our first visit below. They had no to-go half gallon or gallon alcohol containers so we couldn’t order that. The service was good for the most part, food was good. Docking 1 star for no to-go beverage containers.
New and clean establishment. There was a golf cart waiting when we pulled up in the parking lot to drive us to the restaurant. Chicken wings, pretzels, Margherita pizza and pepperoni pizza were all good. Key lime pie and drinks were good as well. We dined at 3:30 pm on a Thursday. There weren’t too many customers since it’s off season. The customer service was excellent. This place is a Wonderland. I bet it’s packed in the spring and summer.

We enjoyed this place so much on our vacation at the coast for the 4th of July. On our first visit we had the seafood. We started out with a large plate of brisket nachos, delicious. Then I enjoyed the large seafood platter with fish , two kinds of shrimp, fries and slaw. The food arrived at our table quickly, the service was attentive and helpful. We decided to return the next day on the 4th for burgers. They did not disappoint. Service was somewhat slower but the food was worth the wait. The Fin Burger was as good as it looks, masterfully crafted, and cooked to perfection. Bravo!

We took our “at-home family” (the crew that didn’t head to their in-laws for Thanksgiving ) on a little beach getaway and decided to try Fins Bar & Grill our first night. We came in with four grandkids and my in-laws, and I’ll start with the positives: the appetizers were really good, and I had an alcoholic drink that I wish I remembered the name of because it was good. Our waitress was the absolute highlight—warm, attentive, and incredibly kind to our big group.
Unfortunately, the main dishes were a letdown, especially for the price point. Very small portions (my husband and I split the seafood platter – and you can see it was very small – thankfully I ate some of the appetizers). My in-laws had a fried shrimp platter and a pasta dish. Everything tasted like it was fried in old oil, and the shrimp were overcooked to the point of being tough and rubbery. One of my grandkids, who loves shrimp, barely touched hers. The other kids ordered pizza, but even they didn’t eat much—and they’re usually pizza-devouring machines.
Given the holiday and the time of day, dining options were limited, so we made the best of it. Hoping this was just an off night, because the service was truly the saving grace of the meal.

Even though the parking lot was far away, they had golf carts ferrying people to the restaurant. The entrees were well prepared and the servers friendly. The facility was clean and offered great views of the surrounding area. The AC was cool and breezy on a hot day. They even scored well with my picky kid, who rated the Mac and Cheese as a 7 out of 10.

It was our first time getting food from here. The food was 1 star at best. It was a $70 dinner and we were extremely disappointed. The burger had no flavor, the pizza was bland, the wings were overdone, and the margarita was extremely too acidic and difficult to drink. However, the staff were absolutely wonderful from the person taking the order to the golf cart delivery driver. It is possible, we just caught the food on an off day. It was just disappointing to pay that kind of money for a meal we did not enjoy.

This is the place to go in this area! Live music outside, kids play area, great atmosphere. Monica, our waitresses, was awesome! She was on top of everything! The Ahi Tuna Tartare was the star of the show! I had the catch of the day, snapper, and it was cooked to perfection. The sea salt Carmel cheesecake was to die for… would high recommend this spot!
