Fins Ale House & Raw Bar in Selbyville is one of my favorite spots. The oysters are fresh, the seafood is always cooked perfectly, and the portions are generous. The atmosphere is fun and relaxed with plenty of drink choices. Service has always been friendly and attentive. A great place to go with family or friends for consistently good food.

We started the meal off by ordering a Caesar salad and calamari. The calamari was very tender and cooked well, but the dipping sauces left a little to be desired. The sour cream and horseradish sauce was more bland than I expected it to be. The Caesar salad tasted great, but they included the heart of the romaine. I couldn’t finish the salad because it had some grit in it.
Next, we ordered cioppino, softshell crabs with broccolini, scallop risotto. The cioppino had a very rich broth and the seafood was cooked very well. The softshell crabs were ordered sauteed. They were prepared in a dredge of garlic, butter, and lemon and were cooked to perfection. The broccolini was very tender and cooked well. I also order a side of mac & cheese. It was very rich, but a little lacking in flavor. The scallop risotto was amazing. The scallops were perfectly seared on each side and super tender and rich. The risotto was cooked perfectly and had bits of corn and shaved carrots to add texture.
For dessert, my wife ordered the lemon twist. It is a lemon cake with a layer of raspberry filling. It was delicious. It had a very strong lemon flavor and was very tender.
The staff was very friendly, courteous, and helpful. Overall, we were very pleased with the experience and will be coming back.

I highly recommend this place when coming to Ocean City, it has great food! One of my crabcakes was a little salty, lacked lump, and tasted like baywater, but the other had good lump meat and tasted great. The shrimp were good, and the scallops were amazing. My mashed potato and sweet potato fry sides were awesome, too. Two people who ordered salads were disappointed, though. Another party member got broiled rockfish and it was really good. This place also has the best calamari I have ever had. Squid is typically chewy but this was not, which was pleasantly surprising. I’ve never had it so good!

Someone at our table had their food delayed because risotto needed a new batch made and some of us finished our meals before they got their food, but they took that meal off the bill which was incredibly generous of the staff. They clearly care about their customers. The risotto was great, too! The wait was worth it.

Fins had been one of our favorite places to dine. The food and service are usually fantastic and we live close, so we come by ourselves, with family, and with friends. Unfortunately this last visit was not stellar. We only ordered carryout and one of our favorite orders is the salmon blt. It is usually made with a generous piece of salmon and is delicious. When we got home we literally could not even see or find the salmon on the sandwich. It was buried under sauce and bacon – it would not even fill half of the sandwich – we literally thought they had left it off. We took it back and asked for it remade. The manager actually chided us and said that it was a 5 oz piece (looked like 3 oz) and it should have been cut in half and spread across the bread. He said they would remake it this time but they would not do it again. Even worse, he acknowledged that we come often and have gotten it before – which simply means that we know how the sandwich has been prepared prior vs the one we received today, with one piece of whole fish, never cut or spread across the bread. What a disgrace to a usually fantastic restaurant. Due to the lack of respect for our patronage will be taking a hiatus from this restaurant. There are too many other quality restaurant choices in the surrounding area.
Even with this review, I would suggest going and hope that better management and service will give you a better experience than this one. Customers deserve Fins usual quality food and service for their money.

Was in the area a couple weeks ago during the off season for a weekend getaway and decided to give Fins a try. Our waiter was friendly enough, but it took a while to order both drinks and then food, but once ordered, it came quickly enough. The drinks were poured with a heavy hand, but I suppose that’s a good problem to have We had oysters (though I don’t partake in them, my friend said they were delicious) and corned beef eggrolls (which I don’t see on the menu now?!?) which were – in a word – AMAZING. I still think about them weeks later… For my meal, I had crab cakes, rice, and mac n cheese, though the mac n cheese was… weird, almost dry, if that’s possible? My friend was aghast when I had to douse them in ketchup to make it through (it wasn’t a cheap meal and I was hungry!). She had a seafood pasta dish which she enjoyed. We didn’t have dessert, which I do regret, and though the experience wasn’t a home run, I’d give the place another shot whenever I’m back in the area. I do need to find those corned beef egg rolls though… never even knew that was a thing, but now that I know

The food was just ok. Our server was good but the food runners brought the wrong food to people in our group. We had a part of 7 where everyone we had separate checks. They put an auto gratuity tip of 20% and did NOT mention that when giving our checks to us. We tipped 20% not knowing they had already placed an auto gratuity. So we just tipped 40% on average food. Not happy with that and probably won’t ever return to that restaurant again.

The best and freshest oysters I’ve had in a long, long time. The ahi tuna nachos were light and very fresh. The lobster roll had huge lumps of lobster and was outstanding. The fried green tomato BLT was the low point, lacking flavor and barely had any bacon on it. The decor takes on the light, bright, and airy aesthetic. We will definitely be back.

This was our first time ordering here at Fins in Sellbeville for dinner.. We called in our order and spoke with Chase, who was very polite and helpful. When we picked up our food, the girl who took our money was very polite and was making conversations while collecting our money and gathering our food. Forgot her name.
We ordered she shellfish pasta dish as well as the seafood bake and fried avocado.
The shellfish pasta was delicious and loaded with seafood. It had shrimp and crab and scallops and tomatoes and a delcious white sauce. Good sized portions and the prices were very reasonable.
The seafood bake had a lot of seafood except for the flounder. There was a small piece. However, the dish was cooked perfectly, and the seafood was delicious. This was our first time trying fried avacado. The avacado was delicious along with the Sriracha sauce and the shrimp salad that came with it. It’s definitely a treat that we look forward to having again.
Very convenient location off of Lighthouse Road in Sellbeville. ⛵️⚓️
We found this place by looking for places to eat in Sellbeville, so I will share a review on maps as well on my page, Tracy Thomas

Absolutely beautiful place, the lobster was a decent size, very good and tender tasted great and the raw oysters very meaty, very good. Just a little bit of too much grit and dirt inside

I’d give service from our bartender Kristi a 6 if I could. We are out from California visiting family and staying near Fins. I’ve seen no happy hour like theirs ever. Incredible prices running all day starting at 11:30 and zero compromise on the food you get. Then we stayed for dinner and had the regular menu and the food was still an excellent value at the normal price points. We had the shellfish pasta and a Caesar that were both wonderful (though I recommend they stock anchovies going forward for those who like that on their Caesar). Absolutely love the place on all counts.

But to top it off our server Kristi was one of the best bartenders I’ve had anywhere. Amazing demeanor and conversation – all four of us thoroughly enjoyed talking with her, she had spot on recommendations and her service was over the top. I know she is new there and also want to say we had a great experience with our other bartender two days prior. They staff well. Highly recommend this place.
