My husband and I went for dinner. We haven’t been in a while. The spendini was amazing. My husband has the osso bucco and it was very good. I had a pasta dish that was yummy. Very salty. The service was amazing. They were attentive. We’ll be back to try some other entres.

Parking lot across the street. A little tricky to get to. Turn left as you approach the restaurant building and cross the side street then go around the short corner to the left. The food is good with reasonable prices and attentive staff. The atmosphere is upbeat, a bit loud for an early weekday afternoon. The main dining room is a large open area hence the noise level. Parking is free.

Let me first start off by saying that we have dined at Fino Ristorante in Allendale quite a number of times over the years with no complaints whatsoever. Sadly, this last time was on Valentine’s Day 2026 and the place was packed. We did have reservations which were honored so getting seated was no problem. The waiters were moving at a brisk pace, and one in particular ended up dropping an empty salad plate against my wife’s glass of water shattering it, and effectively soaking her outfit, as well as the tablecloth before the entrees even arrived. The waiters were respectful, and one asked my wife if she was alright which I felt was the appropriate thing to do considering how sloppy the dishware had been handled. We took it in stride, and did not make any “issue” about what had just happened. Fortunately, it was not red wine that spilled, or else there would have been a “real” problem. One of the waiters commented that they are only human, insinuating that this was an accident, which we agreed. However, we should have certainly been offered something off of our meals, or even at the very least a “free” dessert. The only thing that I noticed was that additional bread and olive oil was placed on our table after the mishap. I asked for the left over entrees to be placed into leak proof containers, and guess what? The paper bag containing (2) aluminum trays and clear plastic lids with the food ended up leaking even though my wife was holding it securely on her lap with two hands while I was driving home. The bill came to over $100.00 which included a 20% gratuity. Since there are so many other Italian fine food restaurants in Bergen County, Fino Ristorante is unfortunately no longer going to be our first choice when we dine out. Based on other reviews both good, and bad, I don’t expect Fino Ristorante to respond. Even a sincere apology would be better than nothing, but I am not going to hold my breath.

It’s a descent restaurant for a nice meal. It’s BYOB as well. We did not make a reservation but they took us in and sat us pretty quickly. The ambiance is nice and the service is great. My husband was very happy with his Osso buco but I wasn’t very happy with my fettuccini carbonara. It did not taste like a carbonara, too much onion which are cut very big and thick and the pancetta pieces are also thick and just all fat. They are very generous with bread which is fresh.

I’ve been coming here for a quite some time. Over all food is good. Just wish that the pastas are cooked to al dente. They have a large menu and many seasonal specials. They can be very busy and the don’t take reservations for less than 6 people.

I visited Fino restaurant last weekend and had an amazing dinner. The pasta was fresh and the dessert was the highlight of the night. The staff ( especially Tony the waiter) was warm and made us feel at home.
The cozy atmosphere made it perfect for a relaxed evening. Definitely recommend and can’t wait to come back!

The attention to detail and kindness displayed by staff is extraordinary. Your water is always full you never need to look for someone if you need so.wthing. the good is delicious always cooked perfectly and prices are beyond reasonable for the portion size. I often wonder how they make money they feed you so well. Family owned which today is a pleasure to be apart of. I always have the pork chop with cherry peppers and vegetables and the servers always bring it without asking. They remember everyone and everything it’s like eating at home.
