TO LIVE AND FRY IN L.A. In 2017, four childhood friends came up with a simple concept — take Nashville Hot Chicken and make it better than anyone else in America. With only a couple thousand dollars to their name, they boot-strapped a pop-up concept in a parking lot in East Hollywood serving a simple menu of tenders, sliders, fries, and kale slaw — they created a viral cult following with lines consistently over an hour long.

Amazing! Dave’s Hot Chicken is one of our favorites and their food is always amazing. We tried the nuggets for the first time and will definitely be ordering them again. Light mild and extra extra Dave’s sauce is chefs kiss! Our 2 year old even liked them and she enjoyed the side mac and cheese. 10/10 recommend Dave’s Hot Chicken.

Today, 12/30/26 at 7:55 pm, I placed my order online. I arrived at the store early to pick it up, and they told me it would be ready in a few minutes. I ordered a drink while I waited. More than 30 minutes passed, and I watched as everyone else received their orders, even those who came after me. If I hadn’t gone to ask what was happening, I might have been waiting all night. The customer service at this store is unbelievable. This is my third time here, and this time, the cashier—a short, thin woman with dark skin—needs to be retrained or fired. When I went to ask her about my order, she told me to wait while she helped another customer. When she finally called me over, there wasn’t even an apology. She just handed me the order and quickly walked away without any explanation. Unfortunately, I couldn’t get her name because of her rude attitude. I’m calling on the Regional Manager or General Manager of the store. I’ve worked in fast food, and the priority has always been to ensure the customer is happy and satisfied. There are many things that need improvement.

Our first time trying Dave’s Hot Chicken and we were instantly hooked. Some of the best chicken we’ve ever had. It was sooo good we went back the next day for supper (we don’t have this in our area so we took full advantage of it). The next day I got a strawberry milkshake with fruity pebbles and for $6 it was absolutely terrible. The ice cream was super runny like a thick milk consistency and the fruity pebbles were just dumped on the top. I couldn’t even enjoy it. The only reason we marked a star down. The chicken was sooo good again though. We ordered mild, medium, and hot and the hot was too spicy for us. Just a heads up to start lower on the spice level and work your way up.

Olivia met us at the counter with a smile and great suggestions. Made us feel like regulars even though it was our first time here! Tenders were better than good. Juicy and delicious. Watch out for the heat! It does hit hard at the hot level, at least for me, and there were two levels left to go! Highly recommended for tenders that feel like they’re made on the spot and fresh out of the fryer. Thanks to Olivia for guiding us and checking in on our great experience at Dave’s!

I had never been to a Dave’s Hot Chicken restaurant. My grandson, age 10 who loves chicken strips, told me he wanted me to try Dave’s as it is “the best”.
On March 1st, we visited the restaurant in Lake Delton. I had the chicken slider with mild spice. Everything was delicious! I absolutely love the spices on the chicken and fries, and the kale slaw added great flavor to the slider. Great customer service. My grandson wanted additional sauce. Staff was very polite and accommodating.
My grandson was right. Dave’s is AMAZING! I will definitely be back.

It was very good. We did take out and it was done right on time. Food was all very good. The reaper is no joke! Definitely every bit as hot as they say it is, but flavorful at the same time! Will definitely go back!
