I decided to see for myself what this restaurant was about. We arrived early so we waited at the bar and decided to try out some of their cocktails , by the way excellent. Then we were accompanied to this beautiful restaurant and exquisite atmosphere. Service was impeccable and the food delicious. Prices are above average but if you want to pamper yourself it’s worth it!

Upon arrival we were greeted by a very friendly hostess by the name of Rose, who accommodated our request for a booth. The atmosphere of the restaurant is lovely with nice views and cozy booths. We were a little surprised at the high prices and therefore had high expectations for the rest of our evening. However the service was mediocre and sat with dirty dishes and had to wait for help at times. The food was inconsistent. We ordered the ($17) she-crab soup, Caesar salad and the ($45) shrimp/pork pasta dish. The she-crab soup tasted more like tomato soup than she-crab. It did have crab pieces in it however I didn’t taste much Sherry. The Caesar salad was average and the anchovies were missing. The pasta dish was the highlight. It was excellent. They do not offer bread service and had to pay for it, $2. It was focaccia and excellent. Overall it was a good experience however for the prices expected everything to be excellent.

We actually had dinner and breakfast at the restaurant and both were equally amazing. I had the salmon pesto risotto and the chicken biscuits, fruit, and potatoes for breakfast. They were all delicious and the service was top-notch. We also drank at the bar in the Grandover Hotel prior to dinner and the drinks were delicious.

We went to Finial for Valentine’s Day and it was perfect. The host staff was welcoming and attentive. Our server was knowledgeable and prompt. They offered a prix fixe menu for Valentine’s Day, but we opted to order off of the regular menu. The whipped goat cheese appetizer was so creamy and delicious. Our steaks (filet and ribeye) were cooked perfectly. I wish we’d saved room for dessert! After dinner, we took a stroll through the art gallery and enjoyed the live music at the 1808 bar next door!

This restaurant provided me with one of the best dining experiences of my life. Each course was beautifully prepared and elegantly plated. The chef and staff engaged with us personally and warmly, making the experience even more welcoming. With the outstanding meals and picturesque golf courses, this is certainly a must-visit destination.

I visited this restaurant to celebrate my dear friend’s birthday. Chef Kelvin’s food was AMAZING! It was very flavorful and the presentation was superb! He even personally came out to our tables to ensure we enjoyed…not once, but TWICE! We also, enjoyed Tiffani as our server. She was also, personable and provided excellent food recommendations. We will be back!

I dined here for a birthday celebration, The food was amazing but the service made the entire experience terrible, Aimee Our server NEVER greeted us instead she came over and immediately said “is this everybody” after we hadn’t seen or heard from her in the 45 minutes we were there. The manager George reassured us twice that if the party was over 10 people it would need to be one check paid for with one card, we assured him it would not be over 10 people because a lot of people didn’t show; at the end when it was time for paying we asked for our separate checks “the 8 people in the party” and were talked to like children by George the manager who said “ I never said you all could have separate checks”. So the service was very poor on our end but the food was amazing, because of our experience and the service I will
never be back!

I had a lovely dining experience at Finial! The food was excellent and that’s coming from someone who’s super picky about salmon. Mine was cooked just right (as requested when ordering), well done just how I like it, and it was fresh without that overly seafood-y smell some places can’t avoid.
I also tried the risotto, which was extremely gouda-y (in the best way!). If you’re a cheese lover, it’s a must try. Rich and flavorful, and the veggies mixed in really balanced it out.
Our server, Hannah, was great. Attentive and did everything we asked. She seemed a little nervous approaching the table, but she still took great care of us and made sure we had everything we needed.
A quick heads up for anyone with food allergies: not every single ingredient is fully listed (including oils, etc) and my mom did have a mild reaction to something in her drink. That said, the staff handled it wonderfully. The front desk had free Benadryl on hand, which was a huge bonus, and we were really grateful they were so prepared.
Overall, the vibe was perfect. Elevated but comfortable and great for a special occasion. Definitely recommend and would go back!
PS. You HAVE to try the cornbread!!

Finial Restaurant at Grandover in Greensboro was amazing. Hand down one of the best restaurants in NC. The food, atmosphere, vibe, and overall experience 10/10. Executive Chef Kelvin Kornegay was amazing, and have a unique perspective on elevating southern classic dishes. You can taste the passion in every bite. Where most 5-star restaurant lack with generic basic, under seasoned overprice menu items, Chef Kelvin and Finial thrives with a menu full of seasoned refined flavors, personality, and innovation. Be on the lookout for him, he definitely should be up for a James Beard award if not a Michelin Star first very soon. The food was affordable and worth it. I definitely will go back. The staff was amazing and very nice. I recommend the Crab Cake Beignets, lamb chops, pork chop, and blondie brownie. Finial offers a delightful dining experience that seamlessly blends Southern-inspired cuisine with a touch of elegance. Love every moment of my experience and honestly if you read this far in my review, go ahead and make that reservation you won’t be disappointed!
