Definitely a dive kind of atmosphere kind of a dated little restaurant however great flavors freshly prepared dim sum friendly service. I’m a big fan of going to a Chinese dim sum restaurant and the majority language that I hear is Cantonese or Mandarin. It’s very exciting. This one is a relatively small footprint I want to say probably 12 to 15 tables, but was able to accommodate larger parties. We had about six in our party that day.

The bathroom is dated, but yet clean

The parking lot shares other retail stores, so you might not get a very close spot since it’s sunk in the corner of the retail strip .

Would recommend if you enjoy dim sum, but not through the cart service and if you feel like that Hong Kong style kind of cooking

Delicious, hot food – better than Fung’s Kitchen. However, I wouldn’t order beef with Chinese broccoli or the 小籠包 again, because they were tough and carelessly made. Totally would bring my elderly parents back to eat here again. Get there early or you will have to wait!

I thoroughly enjoyed this place! I love that it wasn’t crazy busy for Sunday dim sum. The place is a lot smaller than most dim sum restaurant but it’s okay, felt cozy. The menu was limited but I do like that. Because when gievn too many options, it’s a little bit overwhelming. They have your main dim sum staples like xỉu mai, ha cao and chicken feet. Prices were fair. Food was good! Not bad at all. Everything came out fresh and hot. Service was okay. But had to wave down the waiter a couple of times. Overall, good place do dim sum without the chaos. No long waits either. I’ll be back whenever craving for dim sum.

Smaller than a typical dimsum restaurant. Clean. Busy place but the wait was not terribly long. Reasonable prices. Dimsum was hot and fresh but lacking a little bit of flavor. Hom sui gok was the best I’ve ever had in Houston though.

Fine Fine River Dim Sum is a solid spot for classic dim sum! Mama gave it 4 stars, and I’d agree. The chicken feet and shrimp steamed dumplings were excellent, and the sui mai was pretty good too. Prices are very fair at about $5–6 per plate. The place gets busy but there’s plenty of parking.

Tip: Go early for the best selection and don’t forget to try the chicken feet!

Fine taste, fine price, Fine Fine River Dim Sum.

Don’t be deceived by the look of the place — it serves some of the tastiest dim sum outside the Bellaire area. My family loves the chicken feet, the tripe with ginger, and the black pepper beef. Absolutely delicious!

There’s also plenty of parking, which is a big plus.

One of the better Dim Sum spots in Houston. Tasty rice rolls, chicken feet, siu mai, turnip cake, fried egg plant! Fair prices and good service

I highly recommend the Siu Mai, pork bun, and shrimp dumpling!! Those are my favorite. Yummy Dim Sum items at a good price! The only thing I wouldn’t get are the stir fry noodles: they are dry and don’t have lots of sauce.

Drove into Houston looking for the best dim sum and the reviews about Fine River Restaurant don’t lie. It’s a cozy and quaint locally owned business that has a line of Chinese folks out the door. Arrive early or be ready for a wait outdoors. When you arrive, write your name and # in party on the clipboard, grab a menu and order sheet and get to picking all the deliciousness! This was our very first time ordering dim sum, so I prepared by watching a couple of YouTube videos to ensure I ordered what I would like to try. Everything was delicious. Once you’re called, you hand over your order sheet, take a seat, and they deliver the food a couple of dishes at a time. I can’t wait to go back for more!

This is probably a new favorite dim sum spot of mine. Loved how there was no wait on a Sunday morning compared to the other dim sum restaurants in Chinatown. All the dishes were fresh and not too greasy which is important to me when it comes to dim sum. Very affordable prices and fast service too. My favorite dishes were probably the eggplant, turnip cake, and fried shrimp balls.
