Hi, we are Dustin and David; we opened Fine Fellows in 2015 to bring the best tasting ice cream in America to America’s oldest beach town. Bassetts ice cream is America’s oldest ice cream brand, and remains family-owned and operated. We hope you and your family feel the whimsy and love we have sprinkled on what we do. Before he became Scooper in Chief, Dustin worked for an award winning event decorating business based in Philadelphia. David, a nurse, wants to help fulfill your happiness quotient and bring positive vibes to your daily treats. Dustin’s artistry can be felt the moment you enter our shop. Fine Fellows is our second home, and we hope you feel welcome each time you visit us. Our doors are always open to you.

Fine Fellows Creamery is such a gem in Cape May! We stopped by during our minimoon and it was the perfect sweet treat after strolling the Washington Street Mall. The shop has a cozy, welcoming vibe, and the staff were so friendly and patient while we looked through all the delicious options.
The ice cream itself was fantastic — creamy, rich, and full of flavor. The portion sizes were generous, and you can tell everything is made with care. It’s the kind of ice cream that makes you stop mid-bite and say, “wow, this is good.” We loved that there were classic flavors alongside some more creative ones, so it worked for both adventurous eaters and those who like to keep it simple.
This place is definitely worth a stop if you’re in Cape May. Whether you’re on vacation, out for a date night, or just walking around town, Fine Fellows Creamery is the perfect spot to treat yourself. We’ll definitely be coming back next time!

Great ice cream! I had the Coffee fudge and mint chocolate chip vegan ice cream. Both were gluten free as well and tasted good. Fine Fellows has great vibes, and a very welcoming feeling. After a very awful racist experience at another business in Cape May, walking in here felt so safe. I am grateful.

We visited Cape May for a long weekend trip and came across Fine Fellows near our hotel and saw it on Yelp. We noticed the LGBT flag and it definitely made me want to support the business!
We ordered two scoops in a cup. Delicious salted caramel pretzel scoop and a moose tracks with graham scoop. You can definitely tell the quality of ice cream is of high quality – which accounts for the higher price. I believe our two scoops was $8 which is quite high, however, I will admit the quality was good and the flavors were special. Not an every day treat because of the price but definitely worth a visit if you aren’t local!
I also saw that they offered vegan ice cream and milk shakes which is a big plus for my brother who is often left without dessert options. We will be back.

This place is a very nice ice cream place. The ice cream isn’t as good as other shops in cape may, but it’s still good. The server was nice and helpful. The menu was organized. The decor was amazing. (Pink walls with chocolate like drips) there were also paper things hanging. The decor was fun and colorful. For the ice cream you get, it is a little overpriced, but in the end, worth it. I recommend the 16 candles milkshake. It tastes like birthday cake, but better. I recommend this place just to try out.

Delicious ice cream and nice staff, I only wish they warned how big the sundaes are because I ended up having to share with my brother instead of getting my own. It was also pretty expensive for ice cream. However, they had several vegan flavors which was nice to see.

I went in here with my friends for a root beer float. The staff was great and welcoming. Than my sister accidentally dropped 20 dollars on the floor while getting money out to pay. We didn’t realize until later but while we were paying. Two of the workers were saying “no no Michael” when he walked by picked up cash off the floor where we were standing. We realized later it came out of her bag. When we went back in to ask about it, they denied ever picking up or seeing anything. It was a worker dressed in all black. Place was great but I would never go back due to that experience unfortunately.
