Fincher’s Barbecue began serving Macon, GA., way back in 1935. What once started as a small round building, near the roadside of Houston Ave. The business of serving great barbecue in Macon took off. The Fincher family added more locations to meet local demand. This particular location started in the early 70’s. Only minutes from Robins Air Force Base. It continues to be one of the top lunch destinations of our great service members and civilian contractors working throughout Robins. Fincher’s Barbecue must recognize those men and women; for making this location the only sucessfully sustained location outside of Macon. We thank you for having an appitite for our barbecue, half century in the making!!!

Great BBQ spot. The pulled pork was delicious and it came with 3 side for a good price. It was enough for 2 sandwiches. The Brisket was not that great but the sauce with it was good. The BBQ chicken was pretty good also. Sweet tea is SWEET, recommend cutting with unsweet.

The service was good and the staff was friendly. I had the ribs and they were good. The Brunswick Stew was delicious. A couple of people had the brisket, and they did not like it. They stated it did not have enough smoke flavor. Overall, I enjoyed the food and would return to eat again.

I really liked This place and was surprised some didn’t. Went to the one with the astronaut information and signature and package from the fast frozen bbq from finches that went to space. They say finchers bbq is out of this world and the smoked pork chop was huge good and tasty. I enjoyed the Brunswick soup and the coleslaw was both great. I suggest getting some peach cobbler or pecan pie for dessert. Of course being from Texas we ain’t use to no vinegar style bbq sauce but I liked it espiallythe hot one.

I’ve been a loyal customer of Finchers for years until today. There is no way that I paid all this money for a full rack of ribs and got a hand full. I had 1/2 racks better than this. I called a day ahead and ordered but I seem to have gotten left over scraps. This is disappointing. I had to purchase more elsewhere because this wasn’t enough to even be called a full anything. 6 measly pieces. Ridiculous!

I resend what I said about not having anything bad to say about this location. I pull in today at 1:45 and there is a sign on the door saying dining room closed at 1 p.m. drive thru open till 3:00p.m I go around and get 2 super pigs and a sweet tea. And away I go. Reach down in the bag and the bun is ice cold, figure ok bread was in cooler. Take a bite of the sandwich and the meat is barley warm at all and in spots. FINCHERS, what are you trying to do, give someone food poisoning? The meat on this sandwich was no ware near 140 degrees. Thinking I will be crossing this place off my list of favorites.
Posted a while back: I have never had anything negative to say about this location… I have ate here several times and they are on top of their game at this location. Great flavor with all the food and always friendly.
To the employees at this location, Thank you for getting it right 100% of the time.

First time trying. Wasn’t my type of BBQ. I feel could of used more flavor. Excellent service. I will try something different next time just because the service was that great!

Parking lot and lobby were clean. Customer service was great. The food was awful. I’m from the Midwest where BBQ means Seasoning, Smoke, and Great Sauce. This is BOILED-B-Q. I ordered the Brisket Plate and it was nothing but boiled beef. It was the cut with a lot of fat that didn’t render. No seasonings from a dry rub or smoke. They were out of Okra so I opted for potato salad. Either I’m biased because I cook at Home and don’t trust anyone else’s potato salad, but Fincher’s was nasty! It was like a vinegar potato mash. Might as well had put raisins in it. The baked beans tasted like they were straight out of a can and not jazzed up at all. It’s like Boiled-B-Q for a nursing home where the food is bland on purpose because of other’s dietary restrictions. The cashier was kind and refunded without hesitation. Wouldn’t return because it’s not for me, but loved by many.
