I feel like this is almost a hidden spot in Downtown, but its not because its actually located right in the middle of Downtown. Maybe its just that I never really noticed it as much. I stopped by here to have a stock before meeting up with friends for an event in the area. I was the first person in the bar and the bartender was nice and hospitable. They have a good selection of spirits to choose from and also a decent cocktail menu. I didn’t get to try the food during this visit, but will have to try it next time.

Oh my goodness! This hotel is not only gorgeous, but funky and eclectic in the best ways! The entire staff is quite professional, from the Leilani at valet, to Cody at the front desk. The beautiful energy and engaging manner of Maya up front welcomed me in. The lobby was so inviting I wanted to stay longer, but I was headed to Finch’s. Wow, the staff here are so nice and knowledgeable about the menu and activities in the area. Shakespeare and Hannah took care of us with delicious food and cocktails. Jackie was so engaging, and Jeramie was fun to talk to – and great to look at .

Excellent drinks and friendly staff. The kitchen is shockingly slow. We ordered appetizers that took over an hour to produce while the restaurant was full of only two other groups. I haven’t been back since this place was The Red Star, and sadly don’t see a reason to return.

This is one of those places that’s in a hotel but no one really knows about unless your told or are staying there but I highly recommend going there. The food was wonderful. The staff was very polite and professional. The only gripe I have is the lack of help. They were desperately understaffed. All in all, a great experience and I’ll definitely be coming back.

Amazing restaurant connected to the Royal Sonesta hotel. Excellent first stop for breakfast as it is full service and opens at 7am. Coffee was fantastic, food came out quickly. Had biscuits and gravy with scrambled eggs. The biscuits were split and toasted with a garlic butter, gravy was spot on, and eggs were light and fluffy and not over cooked. Service was excellent, the entire space is beautiful. Full bar, wood fitted pizza oven… Highly recommend.

Chef Matthew creates the most delicious & fresh comfort foods! Do yourself a favor and have some appetizers or an entree from the menu at The Finch. We stayed at the Royal Sonesta so it was nice n convenient to head there for a meal. We shared some pretzel bites with Tilamook fondue, the buffalo wings with ranch and a very tasty roasted squash arugula pepitas and pickled peppers salad…YUM.

Fantastic service in a beautiful venue. This place is a gem. Upscale yet relaxed. Would absolutely recommend. The service here is wonderful and worth coming back for. Cocktails here are amazingly made and you can tell the effort that is put into creating them. Shakespeare had great recommendations for both food and drink and was remarkably personable. I have already let friends know this is a perfect place for a nice evening.

Came in for a drink for the first time because I was familiar with the bartender and always love their cocktails. I was excited to see their whiskey collection. Also was surprised at how good the food was. The polenta tots are amazing. From what I spied down the bar, the steak looks great as well.

1 star for the obviously stressed waiter who applied his employee discount for us after we waited 1.5 hours for our food. Wasn’t even that busy. Ended up eating the food in our hotel room.

Gorgeous restaurant! Wonderful staff! Amazing food! Impressive quality and portion size. Fluffiest gnocchi I’ve ever had. Everything was absolutely top notch.
