I had a very disappointing experience at The Final Cut Smokehouse. Our group consisted of 12 people, and we asked if it was possible to add approximately four additional seats to our table.
The manager, Amy, approached our table without introducing herself and displayed a dismissive and unprofessional attitude. At one point, she stated that she did not care if we chose to leave the restaurant—which is exactly what we ended up doing.
This level of unprofessionalism was both rude and unacceptable. Customer service is extremely important to me, and there are many restaurants that prioritize their guests and provide excellent service. Unfortunately, The Final Cut Smokehouse did not meet those standards. Additional customer service training is clearly needed.
After leaving, I looked up the Google reviews and noticed the restaurant is rated two stars, which honestly feels very generous given the lack of professionalism and customer care we experienced firsthand.
-0 is the true rate
The manager, Amy, was by far the worst part of the experience. She was rude, dismissive, and completely unwilling to accommodate our party in any way. Her attitude was shocking—she flat out told us she didn’t care if we stayed or left.
That level of indifference and lack of professionalism is unacceptable, especially from management.
Customer service matters, and unfortunately, this establishment clearly doesn’t value it. We left feeling disrespected and unwelcome. Glad we didnt order food, from their 2.1 rating it’s TRASH! I would not recommend The Final Cut Smokehouse to anyone, especially if you’re dining with a group.
Most of us hadn’t been to Hollywood Casino in yearssss! I personally had never been to this restaurant. The decor looked attractive. There was one large community table that held 8 people. We called for the manager Amy to see if we could move the empty chairs to the community table in order for us all to sit together. Amy was extremely rude she approached us without greeting us, she was very condescending, she lacked any empathy, she didn’t attempt to accommodate us in any fashion. Honestly I felt like she was prepared to hit my friend from her stance and look on her face. Because there were 12 of us we were flowing in spurts. Apparently one of the ladies had already asked about moving the chairs over. I had no knowledge of this when I called for a manager. She said to me “like I told you before my answer hasn’t changed” I shared with her ma’am I asked for you I had no idea you’d previously spoke with anyone. She was so rude we decided to take our party to a different restaurant. Please do not go here if Amy is the manager. We will also be contacting corporate. Her level of respect concern and level of communication was definitely unnecessary uncalled for and out right the worst I’ve ever seen from anyone representing management. She also was not dressed professionally she was dressed as if she doesn’t care about work or life.
I chose fried green tomatoes for the appetizer. These were ok. Flavor was a little bland and the coating came right off making it difficult to eat. Spouse got the deviled eggs and we both agreed we would come back just to eat these. Entree for me was the pork platter and creamed corn. Both were delicious! The port had just a hint of smoke and was so juicy. The ribs were tender with a good crust. The pork belly bites were a bit overdone for me but still had good smoke flavor. The two sauces were hits as well ( although there isn’t yet a sweet bbq sauce offeting). Spouse chose the salmon which, unfortunately wasn’t cooked through. He picked the pit beans and wasn’t disappointed there. Smoky with a bit of heat and nice chunks of brisket. We had no room for dessert but had to try the key lime cheesecake (OMG I wish I had known about this in the beginning); seriously yummy and huge portion. Second was the apple bread pudding. Good ratio of apples and nice spice level but just a tad dry. Final Cut is off to a great rebirth!
We waited at the hostess stand for about 10 minutes—no hostess in sight. Eventually, she appeared and seated us, only for us to sit another 15 minutes without a single server stopping by. We weren’t alone—at least seven other tables around us looked just as confused and forgotten.
Thinking the bar might be faster, we moved over. There, one poor bartender was left to handle the entire area solo. Our drinks took 20 minutes, food took 45, and the salad I ordered didn’t show up for another 30 after that. I asked them to remove it from the bill, which somehow became another challenge.
For a casino that hosts big-name concerts, you’d think they’d have staffing figured out. Clearly, that wasn’t the case this time.
