My husband and I are locals of Carteret County, and this is our go-to restaurant for a wonderful meal. We have not been once that we were disappointed in the food. If you want the absolute best service, request Allan as your waiter. He will make sure your experience is all you hope for and more! Highly recommend for an all-around great experience, meal, and service.

This is a very nice restaurant for a special night out. The menu was varied enough to suit any taste, prices were average for a fine restaurant today, the atmosphere was great, as you can see from the photos, and the service was friendly and attentive. Although there are many good restaurants in the area, we plan to return again.

Atmosphere was good, quiet , not many people there, easy to talk.
Service, no complaints. Drinks never went empty.
Food, I had the grouper special. The fish itself was fabulous. The supporting cast wasn’t. Green beans were just kinda bland and the collard greens( only two green veggies offered other than salad) were below average. Bit disappointed there.
Wife’s ribeye was great. Cooked perfectly, seasoned well. Mashed potatoes were flavorful but once again the green beans bland.
Price. Total bill around $170. With tip, over $200. Five drinks two meals.
They are close. Real close but not quite there. For that kinda money, I just expected a little more.

Just amazing, we personally think this restaurant deserved 5 stars. We try it my with my husband and my baby and a couple of friends. The food tasty The crab cake and seared tuna soo delicious,drinks on point, great ambience, Amy was so attentive and super sweet with us. She was so lovely with my baby. Thank you so much We have an awesome time, definitely coming back.

Cooked to perfection sells it short. It was absolutely wonderful. Best steak ever awesome service attention only at the exact right moment couldn’t ask for anything to have gone better except for maybe slightly more head on the beer. But you’d really have to nit pick to get there. Seriously one of if not the best dining experience we’ve ever had. You should definitely give them a try.

What a perfect birthday dinner! We had been to Sound Side several times, but tonight was our first trip to Filet ‘N’ Fin. I can’t say how much we enjoyed it. We saw so many wonderful things on the menu that we can’t wait to try. We ordered the tuna tartar first… WOW! The ribeye was so meaty. The collards are a southerners dream! I can’t wait for our next visit! This is a must try if your local, and if you’re a visitor! The staff was so friendly and obliging. Not a cheap dinner, but we’ll worth the price! We will be back soon.

The food and service were excellent. Five stars for sure. Not a place for kids though. There were six of us in our group. Four ordered steaks, which were outstanding, while one had the blackened grouper and another had pasta, both also very good. The only downside was the cost. It’s definitely on the expensive side, but we were celebrating a wedding, so it felt appropriate for the occasion. This isn’t the kind of place you just pop into for a casual steak dinner. By the time we had a drink,(glass of wine or a shot of bourbon) dinner, and a slice of key lime pie or chocolate cake, the total came to over $100 per person, before tip. Yes, it was a very nice experience overall and I would probably go there again to celebrate somthing. The food and service were outstanding even top-notch. It’s a great choice for a special event, unless you’re comfortable spending around $100 for a great steak dinner on a regular night.

Amazing wait staff and chef/management was very nice. Food was fresh and the best steak I’ve had in the longest time. We went for my boyfriend’s birthday and it was perfect. Even received a complimentary raspberry drizzle cheesecake which was wonderful. We will definitely be returning.

We had a wonderful first experience here at Filet n Fin. Olivia, the hostess was so kind and welcoming! Our waitress was Nicole. She was incredibly personable and served our table so kindly! She made sure that everybody had everything they needed, and that everyone’s meals were to our liking. The food was delicious- Nicole recommended the Parmesan grouper and it did not disappoint! We also tried the Caprese salad and Oysters Rockefeller. We can’t wait to return again!
