The Cashier was very rude and when we talked to him to try to order he just stared at me and didn’t say yes or no, then I asked for a lomo saltado with a side of sweet plantains and he dint understand and asked me if I wanted it like included in the plate and I said no I want it as a side and we kept going on like that for like 5 min straight and I told him just make me the normal lomo saltado and give me the side of sweet plantains…? He gave me the food and it was greasiest thing ever like all I could taste was oil it was really bad, the sweet plantains were greasy and burnt. It was really bad, the plating looked like they threw everything in there.

Came to try this Peruvian restaurant with high hopes only to be disappointed. Looks like the chicken they provided us was sitting around for a while and was WAY over cooked. Yuca fries were burnt and we could not even bite into them. Green beans were sitting around for a while and were over cooked. Only decent food item were the sauces but other than that I would recommend a pass on this place.

Food taste is good! Temperature was a bit off. My family and I enjoyed eating Fidel’s chicken . Will come back again. I ordered a ceviche de pescado and a family chicken meal with large sides.

Fidel’s Peruvian Chicken is the most underrated Pollo spot in Montgomery County. They have amazing Peruvian style rotisserie chicken. The green hot sauce is the same as other pollo spots but their yellow sauce has extra seasoning and is the best I’ve had. The chicken is well seasoned and their sautéed spinach and also beans are healthy and flavorful. I just tried Ceviche here today for the first tome and it was amazing. Comparable to ceviche I’ve had from fancy more expensive Latino restaurants. The side of sweet potatoes was absolutely delicious, it was infused with clove flavor, must have been soaked in some type of clove infused marinade. I absolutely loved it.
2024 update: I’m sad to say the food at Fidel’s has gone down the hill a bit, it’s not as good as it was a year ago. The chicken and beans aren’t as flavorful and customer service isn’t as good as it used to be either. The last two times I went, I didn’t get the right things that I ordered. This used to be my go to chicken spot by my job. Sadly I don’t go much anymore because of the decline in food quality and customer service. I hope they improve these things again and go back to the way they were when they first opened.

I am not one to leave reviews unless the food is not up to standards, and truthfully a fly in my food does not fly with me (yes I am making a joke so I don’t vomite) as you can tell I choose the lomo saltado it was well proportioned but flavor was off and obviously the fly wasn’t going to make it any better. My boyfriend went with half a chicken and wasn’t impressed and he is more picker with food soooo…

We picked up takeout here during a weeknight: The food was amazing – some of the best Peruvian chicken I’ve had in the DMV. Generous portions. The green beans were especially fantastic. My kids loved it. And the interior is clean and brand new. We’ll definitely be back!

I really wanted to love the food and give a high rating but it’s not possible. The space has nice colors, art/graphics on the wall and looks clean. I give that a #5. Unfortunately the food is a #1. The rice taste like plastic and the chicken and yellow sauce is way too salty.
I didn’t have any issues with customer service but it’s a serious issue to have someone taking orders that can’t speak English. I also had a serious issue with an employee being hygienic. She packed the food and with the same gloves she touched other things. Not OK.
I absolutely will not return here but I wish them well and hope they can improve.

As a good Peruvian food lover didn’t like the way they kept the sides in other places but where the warm food is being kept my veggies came out of a frozen bag into the pan , chicken flavor one to ten ….four.
And I asked for beans I got fried plantains
Most important the cashier attention…. Seems like she’s waiting for people to come and order mandatory, no smile not gratitude not eye contact. Definitely she needs to find another place to work. Second important the smell inside of dwelling not pleasant not agreeable.
