Have wanted to go here for a long time, and was finally able to visit! Everything was delicious- in particular we enjoyed the Treviso Raddichio salad and rainbow trout fillet, which were both delicious! The staff are well versed in allergens and are happy to double check anything.

I usually only drink water with my meals- but for here, get the drink! The Tequila Sunrise included lovage- an authentic Swedish flavor that reminded me of my trip to Stockholm.

Had a truly wonderful experience at Fet Fisk! The staff was all great and very kind, making the meal even better. We started with the delicious Sturgeon pate and the surprisingly fresh cabbage Caesar salad. The roasted trout was perfectly prepared, but the absolute highlight of the night was the roast chicken, tender, juicy, and the best dish we ordered. Highly recommend stopping by!

I think we tried everything on the menu and liked pretty much everything. The waitress recommended getting 2-3 dishes per person, which is definitely too much. Everything was unique and delicious. The dishes that stood out were mackerel, beet salad, and chicken. Would definitely return here!

After having to cancel multiple reservations due to travel popping up, I was FINALLY able to get to FET-FISK. From the initial greeting from our server, to the last sip of my Chocolate Orange Milk Punch, every bite and interaction surpassed my expectations. For drinks, I tried the Sour, Cosmo and Milk Punch. They were all well balanced, proportioned well and delicious. We were encouraged to order with sharing in mind, so we did. We started with the Smoked Trout Pate, delightfully light and flavorful. The capers and shallots on top added flavor amd brine that gave the pate the pop of saltiness that was needed without making it overly seasoned. The seeded crackers were paper thin and tasty. I made little pate cracker sammies to get everything in each bite. Next up was the Grilled Cabbage Caesar. I wasnt sure what to expect, but the cabbage was prepared in a way that both maintained its crunch, but also brought out the sweetness of the leaves. My only critique was that I would’ve liked a bit more of the dressing. It seemed to be mainly on the plate and not so much on the top leaves. For entrees, I needed to have the Sunday Swedish Meatballs! I think I read they were made with ribeye. My favorite meal that my mom makes is Swedish Meatballs. Were these as good? Of course not. Were they amazing? Definitely. The portion was nice, i think 6 in total and they were a nice size. The sauce was a nice compliment as were the fruit bits on top which I think were pomegranate arils. The meatballs were very flavorful and so tender. I would def go back on a Sunday to get these again! We also shared the Rainbow Trout and Sourdough Spaetzel. The trout had a firm, tender flesh, with a very crispy skin. The seasonings used along with the almond sauce made this another crave-worthy dish! I love when a fish is prepared so perfectly that the skin is part of the flavor profile and is nice and crispy! The Spaetzel was recommended by our server as a nice compliment to both entrees. He wasn’t wrong! It was fluffy and light and buttery and savory and so so tasty. I could have eaten this alone as a bowl of just comfort food. There were leftovers packed up, we had no room for dessert this time. I have my eye on the sweet corn pannacotta for next time! All I can say is that this spot definitely lives up to the hype and will not pass up another opportunity to experience FET-FISK.

Finally, a Pittsburgh restaurant that lives up to its reputation—and dare I say, almost on par with the Chicago restaurant scene. (Chicago native here.) Fet & Fisk absolutely nailed it.

The oysters tasted like being hit by a wave (in the best possible way), the smoked sturgeon pâté was velvety and rich, the pickled mackerel had just the right bite, and the steelhead trout filet was perfection. My cocktail, the Aromatic, may have been small but it was mighty and ice-cold—exactly how it should be.

Service was warm, atmosphere was intimate yet lively, and the food… unforgettable. Consider me hooked on Nordic seafood in PGH.

Fet-Fisk was an absolute hit. The space is gorgeous—warm, intimate, and designed to make you want to linger. I sat in the main dining room, but the bar’s moody red glow was seriously tempting. Service was spot-on, especially when it came to guiding portions and wine pairings. The cocktails and wines were thoughtful, but the food is where the restaurant really shines.

The steak tartare was easily the best I’ve had—tender, bright, perfectly seasoned. And the sweet corn panna cotta? Rich yet delicate, with a deep corn flavor that felt both surprising and nostalgic. A standout dinner from start to finish. Highly recommend Fet-Fisk for any occasion.

First visit, and everything fully exceeded expectations, even with the well-deserved increased fame of the past few years for this place.

The chicken dish at Fet-Fisk may be the best chicken I’ve had in my 3+ decades of life. I don’t think I’ve ever had chicken so juicy and flavorful. Plus the sauce. Plus the farmer’s cheese. Absolutely divine.

The extra special emotional component for me was the plate it came on. My grandma had these exact plates before she passed. I was immediately reminded of one of my very favorite people while eating this incredible meal. The deepest of thank yous for such an incredible experience, down to the plate itself.

What a fantastic dinner. Stunned by how amazing the smoked sturgeon pate was, the fries were just right, the steak tartare was perfect. We did get to snag the beans and cabbage special, and it was on pointe. Cocktails were lovely, as were the mocktails.

Could I give the service 6 stars?! A wonderful dining experience – we sat in the main room toward the back and it wasn’t too noisy. Highlights: the pickled mackerel with smoked beet and cabbage – a flavor adventure!! The rye focaccia with olive oil and tomato balsamic – absolutely incredible! I also loved my cocktail – the aromatic. Everything we ate was terrific with an unsurpassed depth of flavor. And, yes, you should get the chicken!

Scallops and pate for apps…amazing… cabbage cesar, rainbow trout, sour dough speatzle, and fries. I’d skip the fries next time. Favs were scallops, rainbow trout and speatzle. Service was amazing. $50 per person with no drinks or dessert
