Ive been going to Fernandes my entire life and it has always been phenomenal. It had been a while since my last visit, decided to stop for dinner. Started with an order of ccq. It came out cold, which is a deal breaker for ccq. My s/o got chicken enchiladas and i ordered chicken/steak/shrimp fajita. Both our entrees came out cold. My fajita was not sizzling upon delivery to my table and there was 1/4″ of grease on the bottom of the dish. The shrimp were also undercooked rendering the entire dish inedible. I also asked for an extra side of tortillas that I never received. The enchiladas tasted off, freezer burned is my best guess. After eating here my entire life, I won’t be going back. 104$ check and we didnt enjoy anything but the margaritas.

We went for a late lunch on Saturday (showed up around 1:30pm) and there was maybe 3 other cars there so we were a little hesitant. However, I’m thinking we just missed the lunch rush. We were seated immediately and our waitress was kind and attentive. We were a little bummed that you don’t get chips and salsa but we ended up ordering an appetizer of chips and queso that was delicious while we decided on our meals. Huge portion of queso that I was able to dip my entree into later. My husband was hungry and ordered a LOT before he realized how generous the portions were so we definitely had food to take home for later. The tamales were fantastic I got the tamale combo platter so I could try a few things since it was my first time here. Everything was hot and flavorful! Hubby got the 3 street tacos (chicken, chorizo and carnitas I think), the green chile enchiladas platter and a beef tamale he was stuffed but enjoyed all of it!

Delish! Our favorite was the queso dip out of the trio. It’s really neat because they bright out warm chips: one basket of classic corn chips and one basket of flour! So cool! My kiddo liked the flour chips best, but I’m a classic gal, and corn always has a first place in my heart. The food was pretty great and they have a lot of variety you can order. I choose a combination plate to sample different things. The seafood enchilada was so good! Everything was tasty! The atmosphere is unique, spacious enough from others, and cozy. The service was fast and friendly.

My first time here, waiting for son to land at airport. Asked server what was good and she recommended the Blanco enchilada. This was so yummy!! Im a Houstonian married to an Nebraska guy and won’t lie, when I pulled up I almost left as outside is not that awesome but who cares, the chorizo with beef and add the queso then charred where you have that crunchy cheese…oh yeah!

The queso was way spicier then normal and that’s literally what I came for . My friend loved her tamale float. My nachos were pretty from up top but under the 1st row was nothing but chips. I’ll still go back for the queso. Margarita was mediocre. Waiter was nice and funny.

Don’t order the new quesabirria tacos.
The new quesabirria tacos were very disappointing. The tacos themselves were ok. The “cup of consume” was bland. Idk how but it was bland and brown. Normally consume is a red-ish color, like the color you see on the tortilla. Black beans as a side when the menu says refried beans?? Odd. The rice was also bland. The rice kinda looks like it has depression. Also, no option to add limes on a to-go order for Mexican food??
Overall, very disappointed in this meal.

SOOOO GOOD! Just an amazing experience and awesome food! The server had great suggestions and was very patient while we navigated the menu. I had a burrito with shredded beef and beans and it was swimming in cheese. SO GOOD! My friend had some of their street tacos and she ate every bite. Their sauce was amazing with a perfect balance of flavor and heat, not the bottle on the table, that was weird, but the stuff that came with her tacos was phenomenal.

If you value good service and respect as a customer, avoid Fernando’s on Saturdays.
There is a manager on duty named Tanisha who creates one of the most hostile and unprofessional atmospheres I’ve ever experienced in a restaurant. Instead of supporting her team and serving customers, she bullies employees to the point they’re afraid to even approach her. That kind of leadership has no place in hospitality.
My daughter and I have a weekend tradition chips and dip from Fernando’s. It’s supposed to be our little moment together. Normally, they’ll sell me the dip on its own, no problem. But this past Saturday, Tanisha flat-out refused. Not because she couldn’t, but because she wouldn’t. She didn’t want to press a few extra buttons, so instead of making a sale, she chose to be dismissive and rude. Think about that: a manager turning away paying customers, with attitude on top of it.
When I tried to use a $5 coupon from the app something meant to welcome customers back she talked over me, as if my voice didn’t matter. I wasn’t asking for anything free. I was simply using the offers Fernando’s itself provides, and paying full price otherwise.
Here’s the bottom line: in this business, respect is everything. Customers aren’t an inconvenience. Employees shouldn’t be treated like burdens. And managers shouldn’t poison the experience with arrogance and hostility. If you wouldn’t use that tone with your family or with God you shouldn’t use it with customers.
Fernando’s ownership: take note. You’re losing loyal customers not because of the food, but because of poor leadership. Until Tanisha is either retrained or removed from management, I strongly suggest people skip this location on Saturdays.

Had the po boy sandwich, bread was crispy and flaky on the outside soft on the inside. Great sauce with a little spice. I recommend it! Wife had the seafood enchilada and a margarita!
Good food, margarita’s, staff. We go there to eat on the deck outside. They’re spaced well usually. Today we were spaced within 3 to 4ft. We will come when it less busy or stay away.

I hate leaving negative reviews especially because I wanted to love this place, I’ve heard so many good things over the years and have always wanted to try it, but it was a pretty big let down. My friend and I decided that we don’t ever need to return again. The food just wasn’t very good. The margaritas were the smallest thing I’ve ever seen and tasted very strongly of syrup and nothing else. The waitress was fantastic so I hate leaving a negative review when we did have good service. Just not for me.
