Kitschy, old fashioned diner on the main road heading into town. My trip was a year ago, but I remember stopping here for lunch. Standard greasy spoon diner fare, decent flavor, good prices. My mushroom Swiss burger & onion rings were above expectations. Took a few minutes to get seated, otherwise service was good. I’ve always sought out these type of local places vs the big chain restaurants so the stop met expectations & it’s on my travel list to return.

This seems like the place to go for lunch for older crowds. The service was quick. Staff friendly. It was busy so I didn’t mind that staff were not attentive. Also A bit of difference in opinion for food. My lunch companion found the meal a bit tasteless where I found my club sandwich delicious. Not a fan of the fries but overall I would eat here again.

Can’t beat a good little diner that offers just enough. Great menu spread, delicious. Good staff, not to long of a wait. Only suggestion.. warm the marinara. We got ice cold marinara for the mozzarella sticks – which was surprising. But, overall – GREAT restaurant. Will definitely be back!! Yum!!

Have noticed a definite decline in quality and service for over a year. Last three visits were progressively worse. Today we sat down to a table full of ants. The waitress informed us its just that time of year. Maybe it should be Health Department visit time of year. Food has been barely just ok. Would have been nice to get all of it though. I asked why my fish and chips came with three pieces of fish and no fries. I was told it didn’t come with them. Had to get up and get our silverware and napkins. At the register instead of offering to take the price of the fries off our bill I was told I could wait for some fries to go. Wow, $17 for three pieces of greasy chewy fish. Won’t be back. Suggest anyone looking for a meal to just pass on by.

Lots of food. Staff super friendly. Unfortunately hashbrowns were greasy and biscuits were underdone. No flaky or lightness to them. But I want to say there were a steady stream of customers.

This is a very good restaurant. Me and my family were looking for a place to eat after visiting the Tillamook cheese factory because the line for food there was too long, so we came to the Fern and it was the right decision. The atmosphere and staff are both very welcoming, our waters stayed refilled, and the food came out relatively quickly and it was delicious. I definitely recommended coming to eat here, especially after visiting the Tillamook cheese factory, lol. The menu is very extensive, I personally got the bacon blue cheese burger with waffle fries, the burger was awesome and the waffle fries were perfect, if you’re going to choose a side, get their waffle fries!
