$20 passion fruit with lite alcohol drink… had the same drink at HAVANA CAFE (larger serving) , and paid way less. Food was ok.. so yeah get it together this caridad ain’t it . $180 3 people 2 drinks do the math .

The food was excellent! The moro was really good, the chicken and salad were well-seasoned, and the portion sizes were perfect. Three of us had lunch and there was still some chicken and rice left over. Great taste and great value, highly recommend!

The price on the menu is different than what the charge their customers. The steak with onions was listed at $17+ but I was billed $20.19. It was also supposed to come with either beans, salad or plantain. I chose the plantain but I got charged an additional $5 for it. The food was good but their dishonest practice is the reason I will not come back. The waiter was not friendly at all. He had ZERO personality.

When I need comfort food, this is my favorite spot. I visit here too much. The food is very tasty and large portion size, two people can definitely share a plate. Drinks are on point they don’t disappoint it’s worth it.

Very lively restaurant. The food portions were enough to fill you up. The only things that threw me off was how the food was brought over and how the tipping was laid out. I had a party of 5 so our food was brought by each individual plate even if said party members ordered the same thing. The tip part was confusing because it wasn’t listed. We only found out after we asked that should probably be something that should be mentioned beforehand to avoid future confusions. However, the food was cooked with great flavor. I really enjoyed the Mofongo con Chicharrón. It was very delicious, it is very heavy and made up for my missed meal haha. My party got the Zapote, coconut, tamarind and parcha(I believe that’s what it was called) drinks, they were savory. Will be going back for a heavy meal. Thank you for hosting us and such polite service!

I’d like to say this is my second time coming here. The food is good. I’m not Spanish so the language barrier is kind of crazy for me. I know a little bit a little bit of Spanish. Not too much but so I order my lunch. It’s almost $20 right for the lunch that I got so I didn’t see the chairs at first I was like oh wow they got chairs so I asked the guy hey Can I sit down he goes no papi you order food to go. You can’t sit down. I said what really??? He goes then you can sit down for today and Lowe’s good head in his phone, I said nah don’t worry about it man and I left funny thing is me like you spend money to the go to the establishment not get it. Maybe he’s busing tables so maybe he figures he get a tip but to tell somebody they can’t sit down because they already ordered it to go. They didn’t even ask me did I want to stay. They just assumed that I wanted to go. I’m coming from lunch but until that gets corrected man that guy is just not a good person. And I’m never go back there again. I don’t care how good the fool is. Thanks

I spent over $200 dollars for this food. I have ordered the same exact food last year for the same event. The stew chicken cost $74 dollars to serve 8-10 people as the suggestion for the portion on their site. Last year I got a good amount of stew chicken. I called and ask if there is anything they can do. I was told no. How can you charge me $74 dollars for a tray and fill it with big pieces of potato more than chicken. That is really deception at its finest ! For $74 dollars I got more potato than chicken ! I have never seen anything like this! Even to send out another tray with actual chicken would have resolve the issue. I order twice a year for two events. This is the third time I have ordered and the first they have let me down. Please look at the picture ! Never had to write a review for nonsense ! What did they charge me for $74 dollars worth of potato and carrots? Never again!
Update after I used my company card here there have been multiple unapproved FRAUD transactions happening. Do not spend your money through Grubhub here. Whatever fraud scam they are running is unacceptable ! Take your money else where it is not worth the disappointment and poor management of card information !

I’ve been a regular customer of this restaurant for the past 2 years, but today I experienced the worst customer service ever. I’ve noticed several issues over the past few weeks, and today I decided not to stay quiet anymore. Let me break it down.
1. The prices for the same food keep changing. For example, one day I’m charged $13 for rice and beans, oven-baked chicken (leg and thigh only), and a Snapple juice. On other days, I’ve been charged $17, $19, or $22 for the exact same order. I eat here almost every day, and there’s no way prices should fluctuate like that. I asked one of the waitresses how much a regular lunch to-go costs, since I don’t eat in the restaurant. She said, “The lunch is $11, depending on the meat, $2 for a Snapple, and $6 for a salad.” I asked her why I’ve been charged more some days and less on others. She just said she doesn’t know. It feels like they’re disorganized, or some staff are working on a commission basis—because it doesn’t add up.
2. I’ve seen big rats in the parking lot, and it’s gotten worse over the past two years. The parking lot is also filled with garbage, creating an unwelcome environment. The New york city department of health and mental Hygiene (DOHMH) should pay them a surprise visit. Their sanitation is a major concern. To make matters worse, I’ve noticed that the staff don’t use gloves when handling food, which is a serious health risk. I know this because I was once a certified food handler.
3. Some of the waitstaff have zero tolerance for customers. I’ve overheard them bad-mouthing people who order to-go. Today, I had an issue with a waitress who knows me well (I used to come almost daily because I work nearby and liked the food). I ordered rice and beans with stew steak and peppers, and specifically asked her to go light on the sauce. She kept adding it in a mocking way. I told her to stop, but she ignored me and laughed in my face. I explained I don’t want my rice greasy because I have stomach issues, and instead of apologizing, she laughed. That was the last straw.
I’m not returning to this restaurant, and I’m warning others to stay away. The inconsistent pricing, poor hygiene, and terrible service aren’t worth it. The staff seem untrained and indifferent to dietary needs or allergies.
To the management: address these issues before you lose more customers
