Landmark pizzeria located in beautiful & luxurious downtown Lake Forest is a real gem for the locals and is truly some of THE BEST pizza I’ve ever had in my life.
When it comes to pizza, it really is what you like. Whether it’s a popular franchise in the heart of Chicago or the Big Apple, or a hole-in-the-wall in some podunk town in Indiana or New Hampshire or Louisiana or maybe even a frozen pizza brand; to each his/her own.
I’ve only been to this location a couple of times being I did a few take-out orders from the west location which sadly closed down a few years ago. This pizza reigns supreme and for me is #1 tied with another local pizza joint which has locations in Mundelein & Third Lake.
Ferrentino’s rocks and the venue kept clean/sanitized with an awesome menu with still reasonable prices and excellent customer service. Hope this place stays open for decades to come and I will continue striving to support local.

First time coming in for lunch. I was in a rush. So I got two thin crust pizza slices. Took 8 minutes and they were fantastic. Hot right out of the oven with the perfect amount of sauce and cheese. Be aware their huge slices. I need to come back and try their signature Buffalo Chicken sandwich next.

Ordered xtra large thin crust veggie pizza with spinach, ‘shrooms and tomatoes. Beautiful thin cracker crust and they did not cheat on the ingredients. Sauce is delicious. Ordered a salad…not crazy about the dressings. Place could use some warmth with softer lighting and different flooring but hey, we stopped in for pizza and it was fabulous. Great find after a day of hiking the forest preserve and wetlands. Looking forward to trying their sausage next time I’m in the area. Cheers!

Place is very well done, clean, and organized. Front desk is incredibly attentive and efficient. Deep dish is delicious and filling. I think if you ask 100 different people about the sauce, you’d get 100 different answers so I will say, form your own opinion there but some notes were not my favorite, yet still very good sauce. Outer crust is crunchy and inner crust is sturdy enough to hold in your hand. Cheese pull is fantastic.

We tried their pizza for the first time today. Absolutely loved the peperoni bread sticks!! Pizza was great, one of ours wasn’t the best but they had great customer service to resolve the issue. We will definitely be back.

I really wanted this to be a delicious pizza. I haven’t been to Chicago in years and I was hoping that this would be the One that would bring me back to memory Lane. If I’m being completely honest this wasn’t the best deep dish I’ve had. I’ve had better a deep dish at home in Southern California. I would like to try it again to base my opinion again off maybe a different order. My first experience there was mediocre at best. Sorry but I have to be honest here. It was Bland and hard to chew.

Ordered an Italian Beef sandwich, to my disappointment there was almost no beef in the sandwich. The beef tasted good though but the portion was just not adequate to the standard that I’m used to. I will give it another shot hoping that someone in the kitchen had a bad day.
