Had a lovely iftar at Fenway Grill & Bar, which opened quite recently and serves halal. We arrived right before iftar, and the wait staff kindly gave us dates and water to break our fast while we decided on our order. That small gesture set the tone for the evening.
We ordered the Turkish pide with cheese filling, which had the perfect crust to cheese ratio and a beautifully baked bread with just the right amount of char.
The mixed grill kebab platter came with an assortment of meats including kebabs, beef, lamb chops, and chicken, all well seasoned with Turkish spices and cooked properly. It was accompanied by a bread I couldn’t identify that paired well with the richness of the meat. The kebabs were placed on a bed of roti-like bread that we only got to after finishing the meat, so perhaps the plating could be improved. The platter also included grilled jalapeño and pickled cabbage. A yogurt dressing would have paired really well, especially at moments when it felt slightly dry.
We also ordered the kunafeh, which was doused in sugar syrup and balanced by crunchy vermicelli, crushed pistachios, and cream. I would have loved a bit more of that classic cheese stretch. To balance the sweetness, I ordered a Turkish coffee. I expected bitterness, but it was smooth, creamy, and tied everything together perfectly. We also had the ayran, which was not on the menu.
It has only been a couple of days since they opened and we live close by, so we will definitely be back, especially once the outdoor seating opens.

Everything was great! We ordered the sampling platter to try a bit of everything and loved it. The highlight was definitely the lamb and steak! We also got the Esme as an appetizer which came with the most delicious homemade bread. Really reasonably priced for the amount of food too! Will definitely be coming back!

The food served here is by far the best of the Turkish cousines I tried in Boston. The staff is very welcoming and nice, great customer service. I will definitely be coming back to try the other dishes on the menu.

I went for dinner tonight and the food was amazing. We had some cold appetizers, the pide, and the mixed grill and then some dessert. It’s family owned and the people running it are very sweet and helpful guiding us through their authentic food.
