Got take out with my family yesterday and got the enchiladas. They are kinda bland and I’m not quite sure what it’s missing. But it was still great! Would try something different next time though.

From what I gather this is a new brick and mortar location as it was formally a food truck. My family and I were driving through Breckenridge and decided to stop and try them out.

Birria quesadilla: extremely greasy, and for someone that is a huge birria fan this one tasted off. The oil was dripping with every bite and the most disappointing part was the cheap tortilla. The kind that hardens when you warm it up…it didn’t give a “freshly made quesadilla” appeal.

Surf and turf potato: Better than the quesadilla but again, left a lot to be desired. There was a fair amount of meat, that was seasoned, but once you ate that the potato part was bland. Maybe some salt or queso on the bottom?

The waitress looked like she was occupied training/chatting with other employees and didn’t offer any drink refills. She checked in on us once and then speedily brought us over our tab even though there was literally no one else inside dining. Made us feel rushed and just overall not a cozy eating environment.

For those with kids, please keep in mind there is one high chair available and no changing area in restroom. Also wanted to add, don’t expect complimentary chips and salsa like other Mexican restaurants they do not offer that.

I had my favorite burrito at Felipe’s restaurant so far since moving to Michigan, it was the Cali burrito, the rice and beans tasted authentic, the guacamole was real avocado seemed hand made there, the carne asada had great flavor. They also had street tacos on special, I got the carne asada taco, it was SO good, I can’t wait to go back.
I almost forgot to mention, the customer service was exceptional!

So I have visited this place three times, The first time I got the enchiladas, which was bland and very greasy. Even my dog rejected left overs, which is very uncommon.

The second time I ordered the chicken tacos, which was just OK, But then I found a bone in the chicken. The third time I ordered the beef Tacos. I could only eat one, I gave the rest to my Colleague. Who then said, they were the worst tacos he’s ever had.

The atmosphere is completely off, it’s still decorated like the Old Restaurant with a little bit of Mexican decorations. Talked with a few locals and nobody seems to like it.
