The Chicken Strips (Calabash)
are Crazy Good. The club was good but too much bread. Great Rolls and Cinnamon butter! The staff here is very Friendly and accommodating. It’s a nice size place, not crowded at 3 pm on a Thursday. I’ve seen Fatz packed many times as I drove by on I-85, but this is my 1st time actually eating here. Great spot, very clean. I’ll be back!

Last night, I headed to Gaffney for the first time in forever it seemed. Hadn’t been since covid first started so decided to go to Fatz last night. First time I have gotten to go out in over 6 months. ( I rarely get to go out without my kids so I was pretty stoked….. ) Arrived and waited about 2 minutes to be seated. Hostess was not welcoming & seemed, distracted. ( restaurant was NOT busy at all. ) Resturant seemed…. stuffy. ( Needs carpets cleaned or something.) Was seated at a table that felt sticky. Server came and took our drink order, gave the drinks to the wrong person when returning. ( Again there were only like 7 other cars in the parking lot. NOT busy at all. ) She took our order then brought us rolls back to the table. The rolls themselves were great, like always. The butter on the other hand was grainy. Didn’t appear to be made correctly, sadly, which is one of main reasons I decided on Fatz. We all know and love those butter rolls! The fact that the butter wasn’t what it is supposed to be, was terrible. “Shrimpfest” is apparently going on , so thought “great! I’ll ate least get some good food.” Ordered the Shrimp Alfredo, basket of calabash Shrimp & a burger. Basket of shrimp came back and was good. Seemed well cooked, just wasn’t… Hot, seemed to have sat a while I guess. Didn’t get our silverware until after entrees were placed on the table also. ( not servers fault, that’s part of the hostess job.) My pasta… I took 2 bites of it and didn’t eat anymore of it and by this time I was ready to receive my check and get out of there. It blew my mind with how, unbusy they were, yet my alfredo comes out cold. Middle of the plate, cold. The cheese sprinkled on top didn’t even melt and the shrimp were slightly burnt. $14.99 for cold, slightly burnt, bland tasting alfredo. I do not take pleasure in leaving such reviews. As I said, I have not been out to eat in months and this was a severe let down for me. I left unsatisfied & mad I had to pay for what was given to me. Not sure if I will return to this location again. I really hope this review is taken in and not rejected because it isn’t ” a good one. ” Fatz used to be one of my top favorite places to go. It’s losing its charm I feel.

Was told I was being ridiculous about the food, until others tried it and said they were sorry, that I was right. ” this is horrible.” Bland, no flavor. I really hope, when & if I return, the next review will be a complete 360° from this one.

Overall good service and good food. If you come here after visiting the outlets you can show your receipt and get 20% off your purchase. The other perk is becoming a Fatz member and getting 5$ off your 25$ purchase. Unfortunately you can’t stack the deals. I got the Endless rib plate and for my sides. I got the onion rings and the baked potato. the ribs were good. I suggest the dry rub and getting the sauce on the side the onion rings were also good, but the baked potato I could’ve done without.

Popcorn shrimp and calabash fish are typical. Sweet potato was extremely disappointing, small, burnt, sour flavor. Rolls and butter are delicious!

Love the calabash shrimp. Disappointed that the rolls have changed. Update. Me and my daughter went she had the boneless wings and cheese fries. I had calabash chicken and shrimp withloaaded baked potato. All was good except my baked potato it was too hard. Bread has improved some but still not like it was. Surprisingly there was not wait.

As you can see the place is literally empty. I am the only customer in the whole place. I’m ignored, one waitress is making out with her boyfriend another one wearing food stained clothing just walked by as if I’m a ghost. Just close this place. It’s insulting.

Great food & service as always. Our server Coty did an excellent job,very quick,efficient considering she had twice the work to do. The only problem was the kitchen being slow and fixing and or getting orders incorrect.

You almost want to ask “Why that name?” when you see the sign…I mean really, your restaurant is named Fatz but you have fixed the tables to the wall & made it a bit uncomfortable for the larger crowd.
But aside from the unfortunately name, the food isn’t bad. I had the Calabash Chicken basket which was tasty. Calabash means different things to different people…at Fatz, it means spice lite.. We had the Firecracker Stix …Yummy!

Dear Fatz manager/franchise owner this is by far the Worst food I have ever eaten. Broccoli casserole tasted like it was years old. Beans were cold, out of pasta “really?” Is there now a pasta shortage? my daughter’s chicken was the size of a chicken strip. We were the only people in the restaurant for like 15 minutes (first sign) systems went down, didn’t bother telling anyone until they came back up 15 minutes later. This place need to close down. It is Ridiculous that we have to sit here and wait for them to put other checks in and her to take orders to get our bill, again waiting for the “system” to come back up. Absolutely disappointed in this company at this location.
