This is a nice restaurant not far from the interstate. We were sat quickly and our server promptly took our drink orders. Once ordered, our food came out quickly. The taste was good and the serving size was plentiful. We had a coupon so it was very affordable. I’m sure I’ll be back.

I hadn’t been here in Years! I had the chicken and waffles. It was pretty good. My date had the Calabash chicken and popcorn shrimp. He, unfortunately, had a hard time with his side dishes. First the creamed spinach was cold then the Mac ‘n cheese was less than desirable. I’m not sure if he chose a third one or not. Sierra (?), our waitress, made things better and was very pleasant! The drinks were good! I had some peach martini drink. I was full when I left.

We were greeted with a smile as soon as we walked through the door. After we were seated, our waitress, Julia, took our order. She was so polite and courteous honestly, she was one of the best waitresses we had in a while! We told her about the horrible experience we had at the other location (Forest Drive). She made sure she did everything to restore our hope in this restaurant. We are so appreciative of the wonderful staff at Fatz Cafe in Irmo, they truly made our day! We were served immediately, our food came out fresh, hot and was absolutely delicious! We highly recommend this location!!

They have great menu options, but food quality is not consistent with every visit (obviously it’s not bad enough for me to stop going). When is good, though, it’s really good! Their shrimp and grits are amazing! That’s my food of choice when dining there. I have picky kids, and they seem to be able to find meals that make then happy, too.

Great service, friendly staff, delicious food and at a great value. Large portions and I was surprised how quickly our food was done. I will highly recommend them to everyone that I know. Glad we came here as we were passing through. Just an all around great experience. And our waitress today was awesome.

I was very disappointed in yesterday’s visit to Fatz Cafe. There weren’t many people on our side of the restaurant, so our server didn’t have many tables to wait on. However, it still took him 15-20 minutes to get our drink orders after we’d been seated. We weren’t greeted with a basket of bread; I had to ask if we get bread with our meal, in which the server replied “it’ll be 10 minutes”. Ok, we’ve already been here longer than 10 minutes. It took him about the same amount of time to come back and get our orders. When he did, he didn’t have the bread. When it did come out, it was burned. Not to mention, the server was very lethargic and unwelcoming the entire time. He didn’t smile and didn’t seem pleased with our presence. One of our appetizers was undercooked when it was finally brought out. They brought us out a replacement which had hair in it. Our main course meals were over and undercooked (rice and popcorn shrimp, respectively); as well as some of the food being cold (French fries). Also, my sister asked for a refill on her drink and when it was brought out, it had food on the glass. We were all disgusted. Didn’t finish, barely ate rather, our meals and demanded to speak with a manager. She came out and got an attitude. Offered more food, but we just left. She, the manager, wanted us to hand her all of the plates of food that we didn’t eat which was ridiculous because they could handle that cleanup themselves. I just wasn’t pleased with this visit and it wasn’t my first time going. I’ve been to this same location several different times and never had an experience close to this one. Sorry for the bad review, but I really didn’t appreciate the lack of service we received yesterday. Maybe next time will be better. I won’t count you guys out ☺

The food was delicious however we received a different order, they allowed us to have that chicken and shrimp for the price of the crispy chicken that we ordered. The tea was just the right sweetness. Every one was very nice. The only thing was that server did not come often to check if we needed something.

We had the best service that we have had in years. Greeted when we walked in the door. The young man even told us all about the all you can eat ribs. What a salesman. Tiffany our waitress was on it. Every change to what we wanted on the menu was a yes. She had everything we needed to our table quickly. She even asked us if we wanted to take to go drinks. Greeted and door held for us as we left. Very impressed with everyone who works at this location.

Love eating here… Hubby and I had the southern fried chicken… So good! The baked beans were ok. The couple with us enjoyed the ribs and shrimp. Tiffany our waitress really was excellent. She was very attentive and very accommodating. She really made this review get five stars. A nice dining experience for us all.
